The initial arrival was one of tactless lurching, it seemed that the world around him blended together in a gaudy storm of color and visuals. The other students around him seemed marveled by the sudden burst of magic, moving their bodies across thousands of miles in a way that seemed almost instantaneous. Hideo was at best, a little underwhelmed, even if it high powered gate magic, powered by the chanting of hundreds of mages back in Japan, offered none of the typical sights one would get in they took a Space Taxi, overall it was really just a means to reduce costs for the school. This year Kamakura Academy had raised enough money this year to send the graduating class on a trip to the Magical World. Many of the kids, irregulars like Hideo was, had never thought they could go to the country of magic excepting special circumstances. It was something that no kid in his graduating class could miss. Even Hideo himself, ordinarily a reserved young man, had felt the great pangs in his chest as he the world stopped warping around him. The sky was unnaturally tinged a redder color than it had been on Earth, but it was clear, they had arrived. A woman had arrived next to them, a typical short blue dress adorned around her body gave the presence of a flight attendant. " The M. M. Customs Agency has prepared direct Air Taxis to the Orestes Magical Academy where you will all stay, if you follow me this way, we will now load you onto your scheduled buses" Traveling by Air Taxi, Hideo and his classmates flew directly over the sprawling metropolis of the Confederacy. They had reached their destination in well under 10 minutes, the city-state of Orestes was home to the Magical Academy where they would be staying. In many ways Orestes was similar to Megalomesembria, if only a bit less crowded and bore a less governmental air. They arrived at the dorms an hour later, taking in the sights from the Academy, they were given a small amount of free time before going to explore the academic town all around them. Hideo found himself alone, and with that freedom, took to the streets to find something interesting to do in the town. Edited by H. J. Elliot, Dec 6 2012, 07:38 AM.

The ship was crowded with different kinds of people, elderly, kid, adults, all from different kinds of races, though most of them hellan or human. Nick had taken a seat between an elderly old man and little hellan boy, the old man was asleep for most of the trip while the little kid was playing with his toys and waving a little practice wand around the whole time. The ship was pretty crowded and Nick had to take a seat for the long trip, so he didn't have much choice. The public ship stopped at Orestes, signaling for anyone who was going to get off at Orstest to step out. That was Nicks cue as he got up and began to step off the ship along with a handful of people who's destinations were also Orestes. As the group got off another group got on to go off to another destinations. There was no particular reason for Nick to be here, except for the fact that he hadn't been here before, he came here to look for his so called "calling". After being one year in the magical world Nick still didn't know what he was meant to do with his life, he helped out a couple of people here and there but it didn't feel enough. That's why he continued to wander around the magical. But for now instead of finding his calling he wanted to find food, the trip was a long one and the food they served on the ship was pretty bad. After wandering for about 20 minutes Nick noticed a small food stand with tables and chairs, there weren't too many people so Nick wouldn't have to wait and he could eat in peace. He ordered some chicken wings with fries and a local drink he hand't heard of. Taking a seat at the nearest table under an umbrella Nick took a look around, only two other tables were taken, one by a family and one by a group of individuals covered in cloaks. It was kind of weird that they would have their cloaks on while eating but it was no reason to pay attention to it. Nick began to think about what his next move should e, he didn't come much to big cities like this, but now that he was here he should check out the Orestes Magical School, maybe he could learn something. |

" Dammit, everything is this town is powered by magic, what the hell am I going to do?" Passing overhead, the typical students and other sightseers were able to move about the city and catch all of the wonders in Orestes, while the normal people, a relative minority in the Confederacy, Hideo and the other citizens were forced to walk the streets, when most of the city was only magical craft accessible. He was relegated to wandering the streets alone, as night was setting, he would need to find a place to relax before he went back to the dorms in the morning. The walk was strewn about with cafes and other shops that were built for the students to stop in every once and a while, but at this time of the night many of them were empty. Hideo was looking for something, interesting, something that could not been seen on an ordinary tour through the city. If he could find something non-magic related on his trip here he would feel fulfilled. Taking several turns off the main street and down the side paths and alleyways that lead through Orestes, he had come upon a single derelict building built between the walls of two much larger buildings. On the sign above the hut, it said only 'Adventure Guild' |
