Twilight. My friends dragged me to watch it.

Unfortunately,God-Awful Script, cheesy and unneccesarily long courtship between Edward Cullen and Bella, wooden acting. The decent (though short) action and soundtrack only barely manage to make the movie palatable. 2 out of 5

You'd be better off spending your money on some other movie. Really.

Quite a few.

The Day the Earth Stood Still.

Not a bad movie. Though, there's no denying that it dragged a bit. It ran on ideals on change and stuff. The acting wasn't bad, the kid was pretty good, too. But, it wasn't the right movie to watch at the moment.

The Girl that Leapt Through Time

I had a good feeling about this movie once I saw the trailer, and I ended up watching an animated masterpiece. I can't remember the last time I enjoyed a Japanese animated film this much (seriously. it must of been ages). The story was very meaningful, an organic script and animation, the characters are likable. It handled the time traveling aspect really well without forcing it. The voice acting is excellent in both versions, too. Kudos to the Digimon Adventure director for this.

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

Great movie. Though, it did lag a bit for a life story movie. It was quite interesting to see someone grow up backwards. Made me extremely depressed though.

Rorshach's Journal 60
Date: March 20th, 2009

Saw the movie. With no prior reading. Before me was an essay of what would heroes would be like in real life...

Sat through it all. Cringed at the overexaggerated violence, and dragged sex scenes

Was a good story. But, left me with a bad taste in my mouth.

Now, I'm left with complete delusionment...why I couldn't enjoy this film. Perhaps, it just wasn't the right time for me to watch it. Maybe, it's because I felt it would of gave a sense of escape. Yet all I see before me is the tortured souls I longed to break free of - they were never set free.

And, now I talk like Rorschach.

Let it be known that this won't stop me from reading the comic. Maybe then I'll be able to appreciate this film even more, since I can't help but wonder what the big deal is. But, then again, it was said to be faithful...faithful to a fault. I say...they are right.

[/end entry]

I like the actors they chose though. Especially Rorscach and Dr. Manhattan. Felt a connection with Dr. Manhattan somehow.

"Now do you understand, I'm not locked in with you. You're locked in with ME!!"

This is an old review. But, I like to add some parts felt very juvenile.

I also watched Lady Sings the Blues, which was about Billie Holiday.

I just watched "The Last Unicorn" twice. It's an oldie but a goodie. Still as strange as I remember, which makes it even better.

Watched "The Blues Brothers" in music class. It was epic and funny at the same time.

I'm also digging up Advent Children Complete. Full review soon.

Watched Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.

Seen the movie. Thought it was alright, but I really thought it could of been better. The pacing was fine and dandy until after the forest battle, then the audience had to sit there for another half hour or so to wait for the plot to build up again. Much of the humor...isn't very funny. And, sexual innuendo, and humping? Robot testicles? Are you bloody serious, Michael Bay? Mudflap and Skids...waste of valuable screen time for other Autobots (not to mention stereotypical). I literally clapped when Bumblebee tossed them out. Jet-Prime was only there for 3 minutes...=(

And, I thought they made Optimus...a little dark in this film. He revels in death, talking smack at the Decepticons during his fights and when he takes them out. "I rise, you fall." "You worthless pile of metal!" I mean, I don't know if they were aiming to portray him to be desperately wanting to end the civil war, but never before he had talked down to any other bot like that in the history of Transformers until now. More of an observation than a complaint.

But, other than that, I thought the fighting choreography has improved. The forest battle and the beginning were awesome. The tiny origin story revolving the Primes was cool. And that touch with Bumblebee quoting Forrest Gump was a nice touch. I also liked that they actually gave the bots expressions now. Peter Cullen was amazing as always. And, Jetfire. Wish he was around a little longer, but he's a cool character.

Legend of the Drunken Master

Tis an old school japanese martial arts film staring Jackie Chan that has english voice overs added to it. The movie came out way back when but I honestly just now got aroundt o watching it now that it's been no the movie channels. xD;
The story revolves around a smuggling operation; people buying lands and artifacts for some type of culture stealing scheme I honestly can't quite recall ^n.n^;; But the plot also revolves around Jackie Chan's character, who happens to be a master of Drunken Boxing, and his father who is the head of the school.
Lots of good action, a decent plot that keeps your attention while you're watching it, and getting to watch a drunk guy go Three Stooge on people as he beats them up. An action/comedy movie I'd say is definately worth watching...maybe not the 10 times I have over the last week but at least once xD

*nods.*
Shoku: Let's DO IT! *wanders off to take a Chem final, awake for once.*
bizness86: Wait...Shoku can actually wake up??
bizness86: I thought he resided in a constant state of sleepwalking and night terrors

"The average person spends a third of their life sleeping, I'd like to think I raise the bar on that one." (~Shoku)
"You? Raise the bar? More like putting it on a whole different level. o.o; " (~Drei)
