And has been since 2006. ...but you wouldn't believe how many more live-action shows they have planned.

...The channel has more than a dozen projects in development, among them work from writers David Titcher ("The Librarian"), Paul Dini ("Lost") and Mike Werb ("Face/Off," "The Mask"). Chief content officer Rob Sorcher said that the network might ready pilots of three of the projects this year, then launch a night of live-action programing sometime in 2010...

...Even with all the live-action development, Cartoon Network is not pulling back on animation. "This does not replace that in any way," Sorcher said. "This is a complement, an expansion."...

The Hollywood Reporter has more information on the works in progress.

FOOLS!!!!!!!!!!!! It's not Cartoon Network if you air MORE live action stuff!

They have forgotten what Cartoon Network is about. They have no souls. Thank god that Out of Jimmy's Head was canceled. I remember one pilot of some new show that involves kids going into cyberspace or something, it used some sort of game engine to render the cyberspace scenes. I guessed it went to nothing and thank goodness. >_>

Chances are that these new shows will be ripoffs of several live shows in other channels. That's what my pessimism says.
