Killian started life early. At a young age of 6 his parents enrolled him in the gymnastics program in Greece. Wrestling, body building, working the rings or the ropes or the parallel bars, he spent most of his days training rigorously.
At the age of 12 he was in line for potential Olympics nomination when his mother fell ill. A rare genetic disease they said, and during multiple blood tests and procedures, he discovered that the people he called mother and father were not his own. At 16 his mother passed from her illness, and Killian engrossed himself in the medical field. He was already taking collegian level classes by his senior year, and his adoptive father sat him down on graduation to tell him that he and his mother had not so much adopted him, as found him. They'd been on their way home from a galla in Crete when their car was driven off the road and into a ravine. What exactly had driven them off his father wouldn't say, but he did say they'd found him nearly entombed in the hillside. The only reason they'd seen him at all was the headlights of the car reflecting off the bronze sarcophagus like box he'd been in.
His father couldn't explain it, and he had no answers for the multitude of questions Killian now had. Diving into his medical training he experimented on himself countless times, and in countless ways, trying to discover what it was that made him different.
Three years into his residency, he was working an ER shift when a triple roadside hit and run were brought in. Two of the three were near flatline upon arrival, and a third was placed in Killian's care to stabilize. The supposedly non-critical patient had a brain hemorrhage and started seizing on the gurney. The stress of the moment triggered his first becoming, as well as his first talent.
Even with his physical eyes apparently sealed by the melted waxen skin covering them he could see, and when he rested all four bloody hands on the seizing man's chest, he instinctively willed his own life to flow into the other man. The transition of his first becoming, as well as the trauma of Sharing the Flesh, caused Killian to loose consciousness. He woke in an intensive care unit but was already at peak health as if nothing had happened. But he remembered it. He remembered it all.
Calling up a former dorm mate in Germany, he booked a one way flight out of the country, and with his friend's help, made it to the United States, where the highest concentration of 'Monster reports' came from…
