Battle 10: Scarborough Fair vs. Keyblade (Second Round) Contestant Data: Scarborough Fair Origins: Bayonetta ![]() Description: A set of four, count 'em, four guns used by the Umbran witch Bayonetta herself. Each have a name; 'Parsley (ever joyous), Sage (ever strong), Rosemary (ever reminiscent), and Thyme (ever courageous).' They style a stunning burgundy-red color with gold and silver chains at the end, golden trim, leather on the handle for comfort, and a nice design topped with a jewel on each gun. The name of the set is in reference of an old English song by the same name. Pros: - Extremely high rate of fire - Bullets inflict magical damage - Having a gun on each limb is pretty useful; it'd be kind of hard to miss. - Can be used with punches and kicks Cons: - If you're not a powerful witch, the Scarborough Fair may be a bit difficult to use. - Would be difficult to shoot something heavily armored. - Can be difficult to use four guns in such a way. Beware of tripping. ------------- Keyblade Origin: Kingdom Hearts ![]() Description: The Keyblade is a key-shaped weapon that is used by those with strong hearts. There are three known types of Keyblades; Light realm Keyblades, Dark realm Keyblades, and Keyblades of heart. The keyblade is mainly used for defeating heartless and freeing hearts. Light realm keyblade masters are tasked with protecting the realm from darkness and upholding order and balance. Pros: - Can be summoned at any time - If broken, it can reform itself back to it’s original state - Can seal any lock (or doors) in any universe - Can unseal any lock (or doors) in any universe - Can open a portal / gate/ door to other worlds - Can transform into a vehicle (glider) to allow the wielder to travel between worlds - Allows the wielder to use magic (such as elemental magic, healing magic, magnet and gravity) - Can be thrown and even controlled telepathically - Can attach keychains to change it’s form, allowing it to become stronger - The keyblade can only be wielded by it’s chosen master (unless the Keyblade deems another Keyblade user worthy and decides to obey that person instead) - It has the ability to free hearts, which can separate the heart from the body Cons: - Can be be either good (light) or evil (dark) depending on the wielder - Can be weak or strong, depending on the keychain attached and the wielder - The Keyblade decides it’s wielder itself. It only deems those with a strong heart worthy (therefore you cannot force it to obey) ----------- BATTLE 10 BEGIN! |

Very interesting match up, I'd love to see this battle actually happen. The keyblade could easily deflect all the bullets from the Scarborough Fair and also use the bullets against the gun wielder by deflecting them back at the opponent. Physical attacks could also be stopped by the keyblade and even more power physical strikes could be launched in a counter attack. As seen in the Kingdom Hearts games, the keyblade can deflect an infinite amount of bullets and even use them against the opponent. The keyblade also excels in physical combat and could easily destroy the Scarborough Fair wielder once the battle shifted to close range. |

The guns have and always will have an advantage, as bullets (depending on the gun) can travel at over 4000 m/s. Try avoiding (or blocking) a volley of those once you reach striking distance. The Keyblade may be epic, but the wielder is still lame and squishy. |

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_fTUNO_DWVM Watch this 5 minutes in. Not any amount of bullets or projectiles can touch a keyblade wielder. The weapon specializes in deflection from any range. |

No-one can move that fast. 5 mins in, I just see some super-human teenager swinging a sword 100 times faster than a normal human. |

The wielders in this contest may be regular average nobodies, but they are still capable wielders that are able to use the weapon as effectively as they were used in the game it is from. It's the same for many other cases... Meta Knight for example. Meta Knight doesn't exist in the real world. This is a dream competition from the video game world, you can't assume that all these things are possible by regular human beings. |

So, the wielders have to be average/normal (conforming to the standard or the common type; usual; not abnormal; regular; natural) people, except for when you say they don't have to be?

Point still stands. They can't be regular or average people if they can swing a sword 100 times in 6 seconds. So, you pretty much say: "They're all average people, except they're not really." Semantics FTW.

Let me throw things over to my little friend Wakun and see if it helps put things in perspective. http://s4.zetaboards.com/Nightmare_Asylum/topic/8119940/ |
