It hasn't been easy, but I've been reducing my soda intake.

The one and only
A few days ago, I decided I would dedicate myself to significantly reducing (but not ceasing entirely; I'm not that dedicated) my soda intake. My motivation was triggered by a sudden and frightening realization: I had been drinking three sodas per day. My brother (Super Slash) drinks two per day. That's a total of five sodas per day being consumed between the two of us. Can you imagine how many times we'd have to restock each month if we were to continue in that?

Obviously, I can't force Jesse to relent, but I can control myself. Thus, I've decided to make my goal, as of now, to drink only one soda per day. If I happen to go to the store and buy one there, I aim to make that my one and only for the day. Eventually, I hope to go multiple days at a time without drinking one. But as of now, I'm content with merely one per day. It hasn't been easy, since not only do I not like to drink water, I've also been getting headaches due to a lack of caffeine.

I'm also doing this to lose weight. I'm about 6'2" or 6'3" and weigh about 230 (rough estimation). I've heard numerous anecdotes of people consistently losing weight from reducing their soda intake. Hence, I'm not just attempting to cut back on caffeine, but on soda entirely.

Just wanted to share. Feel free to post your own experiences here as well, and offer any potential advice.

Good luck with the weight loss or whatever you aim to do.
I don't drink a lot of soda, maybe one every few days, but I do go through tea and gatorade like crazy.

Kachou on!
I've been getting worse about drinking soda, myself. I drink two cans/glasses a day now, but I've been trying to offset it by drinking a crapton of water, so much so that I'm getting up to pee every 10 minutes. >_>

Yeah Kori if you cut down on that stuff, not only would you lose a good amount of weight and be healthier

You are definitely helping the grocery store bills.

I'm stopping soda altogether. And another way to boost your performance is to chance your soda drinking into water drinking.

I drink about one to none a day. I love myself some soda, but I usually don't drink too much. Good luck with your goal!

As of now, I don't have any goals for health and stuff. I'm actually pretty healthy, and I think I'm the perfect weight for my size (or lower...haha).

Yeah, good luck, indeed. In this day and age its next to impossible to cut sodas out of your diet altogether but its a worthy cause.

I don't drink too many sodas. Mostly just stick to water on a daily basis with a soda or two on a weekly basis.

I pretty much just drink juice and water while I'm home. The only time I drink soda is when I go out somewhere.

I've started drinking caffeine as an alternative to Adderall, which I've been on by prescription since I was about 8. I figure caffeine is cheaper, easier to get, and easier to experiment with amounts. Plus, it's always good to get off of a medication :)
