^ Dissidia was going to be Kingdom Hearts instead of Final Fantasy, but Nomura concluded that it would be weird having Disney characters beat up on each other so he went with FF, which means that will probably never happen.

If Square Enix did have a guest character in Smash, it could be Sora... But maybe a DQ character would have a better chance since there has been Mario x Dragon Quest crossovers before (Itadaki Street). Neku would fit in pretty well, and the game he's from is a NDS exclusive so that would be awesome. Plus he's a fan favorite.

Neku's moveset potential is practically limitless.

No clue what his Final Smash would be though.

live life like no tomorrow.
I would also like to see Neku in the new SSB game.

Other than that, I would like to see Kisuke and Momohime from Muramasa, Crono from Chrono Trigger, and either Mia or Soren from Fire Emblem.

That's about all I can think of right now. Oh, and hi.

Speaking of DQ, they could pick one from a plethora of characters in the series, especially with the amount of DQ games going into the DS.

Hell, they could even use the Slime mascot if they really wanted to, his Final Smash would simply be becoming a gigantic King Slime and whomp some asses. Or, if they wanted to make it fun, they could make the character the King Slime, whose Final Smash is to return to small Slimes that have amazing speed or something. Think along the lines of Super Sonic, except not flying and not so outrageously overpowered.
But there's other characters they could use. Even the generic Mage, or Warrior, or Cleric, or Fighter, or any of the Heroes from the various games, the list goes on. There's plenty of DQ characters that could easily fit the movesets.

Clearly they should use Prince Kiefer or Angelo  But yeah if a Slime was actually playable it'd be instant main for me, regardless of how good or bad it is xD They could probably pull off a Hero too, though I wonder which one they'd use... my money would be on I's, III's or VIII's.

You know an interesting character idea I was thinking of if they used DQ? An Ice Climbers type with the DQ5 Hero and one of the three wives you could choose (Though, in SB they would have to pick one). Since the wives are basically different types of mages, and the Hero is mostly a good warrior/fighter, it would make an interesting combo I would think.

Ahh come on that one's so easy! It would be a fusion attack. Neku + Shiki's fusion would make the most sense, it has nice range and looks cool.

I've thought of Crono before, that's an awesome idea, but never of Kisuke or Momohime! That's a really good suggestion as a guest rep from Vanillaware, Muramasa is a Wii exclusive after all.

That's actually a pretty good idea. It could work.

I actually have some ideas of my own for DQ characters too.

Hero from the Dragon Quest series, specifially DQVIII

Slime, Dragon Quest series

Let me know what you think!

Wow Raven, nice move set! I love seeing fan created move sets like these. I saw a really good one for Lip from Panel de Pon one time which inspired me to make them too. My only problem with the main character from VIII in Smash is that his game was for PS2. I think a Nintendo only DQ game character would have a much higher chance.

Awesome idea though, I'd like to see more like this!

Raven: Well, you could easily also take from DQM for Slime's movesets.

Another idea for it's Final Smash is instead of becoming a King Slime, it casts MegaMagic, which is one of the most powerful spells in DQM. Slimes also learn Firebal naturally, which could be one of his B moves.
