Not exactly. They said something like "NOA has no current plans of localizing these games" on their Twitter. |

Isn't that essentially the same thing, just expressed nicer? |

I guess so, but I thought he was thinking they said exactly what media said. |

That's exactly what I mean when I said that they are digging their own grave. People already have a general distaste for their new console, and now they're saying "Fuck you," to their customers, who are apparently large in number. I wouldn't be surprised if the Wii U would be the end for Nintendo if they continue to act like this. |

^Even if their libraries for their consoles suck (the Wii's is embarrassing to even talk about), there's no arguing that their technology has been revolutionary time and time again. |

That's a really good point. A lot of people already complain a LOT about how Nintendo doesn't have any new IPs. I'm even starting to agree with them. I LOVE Zelda, Mario, and Metroid, but there just doesn't seem to be any (good) innovation. And honestly, I don't care for the Wii U at all. I don't care for HD graphics (especially when my TV can't play them). I don't care for an iPad-esque controller. I just don't care. ;_; |

^Yeah, Skyward Sword doesn't interest me, and I stopped caring about Mario after Mario Sunshine, and even that didn't exactly pique my interest. I did get it and beat it, though. I never got into Metroid even from the start, though I did play the first Prime, which was fun. I settled for watching Prime 2 and 3. |

Nintendo certainly has some names, but those won't last them forever, especially when games are the same thing as their previous installments. Zelda is great, but there's only so many times someone wants to go through 8 dungeons, find 8 pieces of whatever, put them together to create an ultimate weapon and/or triforce, and defeat Ganon, Ganondorf, or whatever else they come up with. They might be making good games, but it's exactly the same thing over and over, and that's never going to last them. Honestly, with the amount people complain about repetition, I'm surprised it's lasted this long. It's been a long time since someone asked me "Did you see what they did/what happened in [Nintendo franchise name here]?!" |
