Hooray! The games that don't have Ganon (at least as the main villain) in them are usually the best (eg Majora's Mask, Link to the Past).
Pro-tip: Ganon is the main villain in Link to the Past.
Scratch that then. Another game you could talk about then could be The Minish Cap. That had Vaati in it and it was a pretty damn good game.

I wish more newer titles in older series games were longer.

Mega Man was the best example for this. We've long past the problem where only 8-12 levels could be the most you could fit on a cartridge. There's no reason to not give us more anymore.

I'm happy Nintendo realized this. More content on a good game is one of the best things you can do. Sick of buying a game at $60 a pop, to find out that the amount of content they worked on only lasts 5 hours.

I already forgot the name of the new villain, but anyone else notice a slight similarity between the names "Aghanim" and the new guy?

On another note, I think this takes place before Minish Cap (which still makes it true by my timeline of being before OoT). Basically Link is a Minish in this game, rofl (because I believe the Four Sword and Master Sword are actually either the same blade somehow altered or a set)

Didn't they say that Skyward Sword was basically the first game in the timeline, and details the creation of what we know as the Master Sword? Since the Master Sword is basically in every single game, it makes sense that it's also the very first in the timeline.

That's essentially what I just said, although if you didn't happen to see the timeline as I see it that I posted in some long-buried thread it's not surprising you wouldn't realize it xD

edit: omg you know what would be absolutely hilarious? If Nintendo suddenly tried to canonize the cdi games and put them in the timeline hahaha fans would go batshit crazy xD

How you said it inferred that you weren't sure, just stating an idea that they probably go before Minish Cap.

I don't think they'd ever do that. It's just too easily a "stab yourself in the back" decision.

Oh I'm sure they wouldn't; I'm just saying it would be hilarious xD

Sorry, didn't realize I worded it that way xD I meant more that as I haven't played it, I can't be 100% sure

Details about the harp in Skyward Sword.

http://www.siliconera.com/2011/07/24/zelda-skyward-swords-musical-instrument-is-a-harp-similar-to-sheiks/

So you use the Wii Motion Plus to play the harp and it more than likely does have a tie in with Sheik's harp.

When asked if it was the same harp as the one that Sheik uses in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Aonuma stated: “The design is the same as the harp that Sheik has in Ocarina of Time.”

Given the connection to the royal family and the Ocarina of Time (as well as SS being about the MS's origins) the harp likely ties into OoT even further.
