Metroid has some great music and great level design. But it's clear from...well since it's creation that they care about Zelda more. We have a total of what...5 2D games and 3(4 if you count Other M) 3D ones? How many Zeldas do we have now? 15? Probably closer to 20.

Alright, Super Metroid might have some decent music, but it's nowhere near the caliber of Zelda.

I must admit, Nintendo does seem to devote more time into developing Metroid games than they do Zelda ones. In my experience with the latter, many of the portable games are subpar.

Kachou on!
I'm confused to see you making these statements about Metroid's music when you barely have any experience with the series. I think all Metroid games have good music (except Other M, haven't played that yet) and they all accomplish their aim of immersing you into their environments quite well, much better than Zelda's dungeon music does.

Metroid music is much greater than Zelda music for the most part D:

edit: by the sound of things, Nintendo still hasn't figured out what a "Symphony" is... At least it's better than their Hyrule Symphony attempt rofl; String Quartet =/= Symphony geniuses >_> You thought no one would notice?

Edit 2: Oh, and Polan, there are 15 unique Zelda games (as in, not remakes). 16 once Skyward Sword is released.

So almost double the amount of games. Equal distribution there >_>

And yeah, even I knew that wasn't a symphony, and I barely know anything about music.

Metroid Prime has some incredible music. I don't think it's a matter of content and features but more due to Zelda's overwhelming popularity when compared to Metorid.

It's not a big deal though, Nintendo may claim to make a big deal out of these anniversaries but nothing really good has come from them so far and I don't expect it to.

The best thing they could possibly do for Metroid is announce a new 2D one. We haven't had one in what...6 years? Long overdue.

Anything new Metroid but be great right now, it needs to pick up after the nightmare known as Other M. A Prime entry on the 3DS would be interesting.
