Srsly, you guys. No active MK7 thread? Just discussions on snaking? This will personally be my first big title for the 3DS. Already pre-ordered and now just playing the waiting game. For more game info: Characters http://www.nintendo.co.jp/3ds/amkj/character/index.html Courses http://www.nintendo.co.jp/3ds/amkj/course/index.html Kart Customization http://www.nintendo.co.jp/3ds/amkj/customize/index.html Items http://www.nintendo.co.jp/3ds/amkj/item/index.html General information (and in English!) http://www.nintendoworldreport.com/impressions/28141 No idea if the official English site is updated, but there's the Japanese one and a nice article. My only concerns with the game consist of two things: the new Lucky 7 item and the Blue Shell. L7 looks rather broken with our current details. It gives you one of various (random? set?) items totaling up to seven items at once. No idea if you can use them all one at a time or if it's a sort of roulette to narrow down which items you can get. The article author said he didn't see it in action; I'm assuming his comment after that which supports my former guess was an assumption. The latter idea would be a lot more balanced, but a roulette after a roulette(the item box, naturally) sounds a bit odd to me. Being Nintendo though, I can expect it. As for the Blue Shell... it looks like MK64's and MKWii's had a baby. Traveling across the course hitting anyone in its path just to launch itself in the air and explode normally? Do not want. Anyway, your thoughts on the game? Plan on buying it? Adding my 3DS code whether you do or not?

Until I get a 3DS, it's not very intriguing to me. I'm looking into getting one though, and it will be on my potential buy list if I do. Blue Shell + L7 look absolutely retarded, though. Courses look nice, but I don't like ruining that kind of stuff for myself through videos so I'm not looking too much into them. |

B-but... but... Lose interest in the series? Or did you just buy DD used recently? That's it, right? Right? |

Sorry, but since I don't get much fun out of this series (single player can only sustain a guy for so long) and don't plan on buying this game (I don't even have a 3DS), I can only be negative about it. Like this: Metal Mario? Seriously? Granted, that's nowhere near as bad as baby versions of everyone (I hate babies!!) but still. There's probably some kind of freakish copyright law prohibiting it, but I'm gonna say it: If Nintendo would only bring back characters from the three Mario RPG series and put a bunch of them in their sports/racing titles, it would make those games roughly a bajillion times cooler. |

Won't have a 3DS for a long while so I'm trying not to get myself hyped for it. |

I actually agree with Catbread. We need some new blood. Geno in a Mario Party/Kart game would be awesome, but it will never happen since he belongs to Square. That being said, this is one game I'll ask for for Christmas. I'm not really hyped for it. I love Mario Kart and all, but it's more of a casual game series than anything for me. |

Eh, whatever works for you. There are still at least two characters that aren't announced, so maybe they'll pull a Mallow out of a hat. I'd personally rather them focus on new courses rather than characters. I can handle using the same set of characters in each new game, but I won't get a new experience using different characters in the same exact courses I've raced on hundreds of times prior. |

Fair enough. To be honest, I was just commenting on the first and only link in the OP I clicked on. Hehe... I'll look at the others later when I have more time. |
