I think things will really turn around once SM3DL and Mario Kart are released. I still see it outselling the Vita. |

welcome to the cauldron of hate

Hopefully this'll encourage them to step it up. That's what competition is for, after all! |

Their mentality doesn't help. People don't buy games when what they want isn't in the games they want, regardless of how they feel gaming should go. Gamers want HD. Nintendo thinks it's unnecessary. Nintendo's sales drop. Gamers want Online. Nintendo thinks games should be unique without it (What?). Nintendo's sales drop. It doesn't matter what they think should be the direction of gaming. They should work to change it, if they really think it should be different, however clearly disregarding what players want is a recipe for disaster. |

Eh, I dunno. The 3DS's library is garbage. The Vita's main drawback is its AT&T-only connection. |

Duh. The 3DS is cool in theory, but oh, wait, half of its library is crap, and the other half is a decade old. |

It doesn't look like the Vita will have a very solid library until a ways from launch either. Only notable ones I see on this list are Disgaea 3, UMvC3 and BlazBlue. And I know at least the first two are ports. http://www.zdnet.com/blog/gadgetreviews/sony-reveals-26-ps-vita-launch-titles-for-japan/27456 Mario sells a lot of systems, especially Mario Kart. I recall still seeing commericals for MKDS all the way in 09, possibly even in 2010. |

Okay, gotta admit, that's pretty weak. All but UMvC3 have been out for quite some time, and who the HELL would choose UMvC3 on a PSP when it could be on a giant TV instead? |

I'm half surprised that Nintendo isn't doing well financially right now. On one hand, they kind of bungled the 3DS (too expensive initially, weak game launch, terrible battery life), but on the other hand, I'm surprised that phones are direct competition for traditional video game consoles. They're phones that happen to play some games, not dedicated game systems. Most of them don't even have proper control layouts, and even if I had a smartphone, it would never replace an actual game system for me. |

I agree, considering the DS is the highest selling system of all time. |
