I tried the demo out a bit (before I had a power outage at 1 AM >_>), and the controls for bird-flying are decent, but it took some getting used to. The swordfighting is interesting, and fighting Ghirahim was fun, but the screen faded out before I could see whether or not you can beat him. I suck terribly at the dungeon and ended up dying twice, netting me a Game Over. =P

I'll play around with it more tomorrow, when I have more time. I did notice the cursor moves unusually slow, though.

Nice impressions. So it seems this is the E3 demo, which means the full game will definitely be more polished.

The development process really started to look good much after E3 I think, and I'm pretty sure the demo was made specifically for E3, meaning that part in the real game definitely got revamped.

Another thing I noticed is that the demo is a 4 GB ISO. If a demo is that big, it makes me think the full game will be dual layer. Unless the demo is just the full game with most of the content locked or something.

Apparently all Wii ISO's are 4.7 GB, even if the game is actually only about 1 GB. There's a way to shrink it apparently: Link

Did you try hitting something with the middle of the sword like I suggested?

I forgot lol. I'll try it later. I don't think the sword can be turned though.

So the webmaster on this site (who has a review copy and has been posting many of the videos I've been showing you) says it's single layer http://www.thebitblock.com/2011/11/09/gameplay-the-legend-of-zelda-skyward-sword/#comments

Eh? Why's single-layer better? I might have missed something.
