Words. All dem words. On Monster Hunter: The Portable versions receive a different balancing as to be solo/small group centered, whereas the online versions(console and Frontier) have the monsters and quests balanced to encourage party play. That isn't to say the Portable versions are piss easy, in fact, I think the specifics for the balancing were less monster HP but more monster damage. If the Portable versions were put online, the balancing would be th same as the console version, and soloing in them would be a lot harder. Monster Hunter is very much a game played on the go in Japan, on trains and public places without wi-fi, so until 3G portable gaming takes off, we wont be seeing MHP4G Online. |

The Mega Man comment was related to any comment about how they "only" release rehases/remakes or the same game until they get it right being a negative for the company. I love Mega Man, but you can't deny the basic gameplay elements are the same throughout each game in their series; they go through VERY minimal changes, but the original series is the biggest culprit for this. Their other games are going through that also. I already know we won't have the same opinions, but both you and Storm backed it up with inaccruate or misguided information; intentional or not. Not everything can be considered an opinion, like calling Capcom crooks. If they really were, I'm sure the law would have done something about it. Yes, I'm going by its literal sense. |

I see. Well I personally don't like how Capcom does business now, it's as simple as that for me. I'm not really sure what you mean by inaccurate information, but what I do know is that I'm not the only one that feels this way about Capcom, and I stand by my decision to boycott them. I don't mean literally they are robbing people, it's just an expression. |

Guess this conversation is pretty much over, but I just want to say Capcom is not the only company I dislike. I dislike EA and Activision even more. Capcom just happens to be the one we're discussing. |

Yeah, I remember you pretty much telling me this exact same thing a couple months ago. I respect that, but hopefully you might reconsider this temporarily in the future considering we haven't played Monster Hunter together yet. Either way, it's not going to stop me or anyone else from enjoying the series Capcom makes that we still... well, enjoy, so it's all good. Again, I do admit they've made mistakes, but it's not uncommon. Companies go through a lot of shit and they have an even rougher time than their consumers with it. It takes a lot of thought to make the decisions they go through with.Edit: Curious, why the EA hate? I haven't followed them in several years. I only know that they published the awesome GBC Harry Potter RPGs. Edited by Phanir, Nov 13 2011, 10:10 PM.

That's nothing. How about Resident Evil 2 and 3 for the Gamecube, which were direct ports, with no additional features, and those remained FORTY dollars for YEARS? What the FUCK. |

See that, everyone else? Take note. No money = out of business. Individual people within the company are extremely passionate, I'm sure. But companies are out to make money. And that's it. |

Yeah, Capcom screws around with expensive rereleases, but EA is really irritating, partly because of Origin. Seriously, piss off, EA. Also, bring back instruction booklets. Edited by Lotus Prince, Nov 13 2011, 10:22 PM.

I have faith in the MH branch still. I know that things have already changed for them, but I know that pretty much every MH game released has been very high quality and well worth it. Even the HD remaster is appealing in the sense of hassle-free online and superior controls. There are some games of Capcom that I'm interested in, such as new MH and the Devil May Cry collection. If I do buy them, I'll get them used. I want Capcom to change my mind, but it's going to take a lot. |

I've only really seen Monster Hunter Tri, and it looked pretty awesome. |
