Has anyone played this game? I'm interested in it. It's basically Monopoly with Mario and Dragon Quest characters.

Why, I enjoy ALL of those things!
I might check it out, I'm just always hesitant to pick up party games because I have no friends.

I'll probably never try it. From my understanding the online is terrible once again and since I don't play with people in real life I'm sure the game would only prove to be annoying (I hate playing "luck" based games against computers).

Did you guys see this streamed on Backlog this last Monday? It looks pretty damn fun, but the Amazon reviews are torn and end up dubbing it as mediocre.

I just want Mario Party 9 already. :((

Nope, I wish I did though. =O

And Mario Party 8 was a major disappointment. Hopefully MP9 is better.

Aw I didn't think 8 was THAT bad. What didn't you like about it?

Not enough mini-games; it had the least amount out of all the entries I've played so far. Not to mention the maps kinda sucked IIRC.

True, true. The mini-games were majorly undercut in comparison to 1, 2 & 3 (the only other ones of the series I own). Have you played that Shake 'em Up game with the soda can, where you shake the wiimote up and down? I always win that one. xD lol

I guess in MP9 the party stays in a car(?) or some kind of vessel throughout their turns and everyone moves together. Not sure how I feel about this, but I guess it shouldn't make too much of a difference.
