[Preferred Character Designs Contest: 2 way match-up]

Much like the Warrior of Light, Cecil has an Amano design and a sprite design. The thing about Cecil is he has many, many designs. I could have used him in a 4 way match-up, but I'm saving that for a select few at the end. I'm going to do this the same way as the WoL, and while the outcome may be the same, this time we are comparing two designs each. Cecil has a Paladin design and a Dark Knight design. So combine both designs together and determine your final outcome.

Again, we are comparing both designs as sets. Amano's Dark Knight and Paladin VS. Dark Knight and Paladin Sprite version. The reason I went with these two in particular is because most of his other designs look almost identical to the Amano design.

Discussion on which design you prefer is strongly encouraged. It doesn't have to be an in depth analysis, just let everyone know why you like the design you picked over the other one.

Amano's Design by far. That Dark Knight looks a lot more dark and intimidating. The Paladin just looks cooler than the Sprite one.

Hi, I'm: An Innocent Bystander
Sprite, because the Dark Knight kind of reminds me of Batman.

^Lol.

I'm going to vote for the sprite design as well. While I love Amano's original creation, for some reason I've always really liked the sprite design, he almost feels like a different character. While his costume may seem a bit generic, it just feels like the right amount of a simple and clean design for me.

This could be the fact that I played the original IV before I even knew about Amano's design, and the original sprite for him engraved that certain image of Cecil in my mind.

Kachou on!
Amano. The other one is really cool, but it looks like every other generic JRPG hero.

Sprite design. Honestly, I just don't like how Amano's paladin design looks. >.>

I'm going with Amano. I like the sprite design for the Dark Knight, but the Amano design has a more menacing-looking Dark Knight and a better looking Paladin overall.

In this case I prefer the sprite version. As far as the Dark Knight is concerned, even though he gave himself over to darkness you can tell he is still human, which reflects his personality early in the game (remorse over attacking Mist, questioning the king's motives, loving Rosa, etc.). The Amano version almost passes him off as a monster, which he wasn't.

With his Paladin look, I'm using the argument that others had against the Warrior of Light last time in that it's too busy. The sprite version is simpler, but he still has an air of nobility to him.

Sprite. It looks so cool and I like these more minimalist looks.

Looks like the Sprite takes it! I'm shocked yet again by the outcome, I figured Amano's design would be more preferred. All really good points mentioned, especially about Amano's Dark Knight design taking the role too seriously. He wasn't a murder consumed by darkness, just using the aid of darkness for power until it became too much.
