Very interesting. This must be for the WiiU and the 3DS eShop. Since the eShop logo looks similar and uses the same color, it looks like it is Nintendo's new online service. They've been talking about 3DS DLC (paid and free) a lot recently, and even the US is finally getting demos on the eShop. Nintendo is finally catching up, although it's nothing compared to the already established networks. |

People love to bash on Nintendo for being stupid in terms of design, but keep in mind: they were here first (among the current main players), and keep in mind they're the ONLY ones who don't make other products besides gaming-related products. They don't have 3D TVs and computers to back themselves up, and they're still here. Obviously, they've done something right, and they know what it is. |

That boxart defines Mario Party: A clusterfuck of shit you can't be cared to spend time looking at. About the Nintendo Network thing: The main reason they haven't made one yet is because of their feeling that MP is not important (They've said it a couple of times already). At this point they're only doing it out of necessity and not want. The question is whether or not it will actually be useful, or if it will be a bare bones minimum system that is terrible. Plus ease of use. Edited by Polantaris, Jan 21 2012, 05:00 AM.

I disagree, Polan; they've always promoted multiplayer, it's just that they've always wanted to keep players in the same room to be more interactive with each other. However, with the booming success with XBL and PSN, they may have realized it's the only way to reach out to the American market nowadays-- As far as I know, Japan isn't too bothered by the lack of online play... |

Does this mean Dragon Quest 3D and Bravely Default: Flying Fairy will have competent online multiplayer? The originals, DQIX and 4Heroes, had great multiplayer concepts, but it's damn hard to find someone near you who owns the game. DQIX's concept is especially brilliant; just join up a friends world and...play normally, if your friend needs you, he'll summon you for the fight. |
