I should read all of that earlier, but for now I'll just ramble. Mass-market/mainstream video game appeal is always mixed for me. Yeah, I want to see everyone "get" gaming on a grand scale, and for everyone to "get" why I get so tense during a LoL game or why some obscure pixelated character gives me crazy nostalgia fits, but at the same time I really hate that video games becoming mainstream is turning into more like "let's make absolute garbage that continues to alienate the 'hardcore' crowd!" |

Wow, it's really cool that he admits that, after the system's run is pretty much over, and it's too late for this to make the slightest fucking bit of difference, and he should have realized this fucking YEARS ago, because everyone else sure as hell did.

I don't even care about the "hardcore" crowd, but catering to everyone doesn't mean that you have to make shit. Non-gamers aren't retards who don't know what quality is. It's like people who make utter fucking garbage like the Smurfs movie, because hey, it's a kid's movie, it doesn't matter. Except it fucking DOES matter, because shit is shit. In the same way that kids can watch good movies too, mainstream audiences can play games that aren't utter fucking trash. |

I'm just glad he's admitted it at all; I mean, I understood the intentions behind it, but I couldn't see how they were possibly being successful. I hope that this means that the Wii-U will 1) begin to return to Nintendo's core essence, and 2) launch with a better console name. |

By hardcore I meant the people like us who play good games constantly. |

Too bad this is only really good for NoJ and NoE. NoA will probably still be a piece of shit and not localize half of the hardcore games that come out. |

That's all that's needed. Learning to loathe NoA lately. |

Hopefully this is a wake-up call for them to make more hardcore games. They were doing pretty good with the hardcore releases but now they've stopped, they need to hurry up and get caught up with today's market. |
