terriw1979 Posted: 19 May 2006 07:41 pm How does everyone make these videos? I'm curious cos i wouldn't know where to start! Do you rip the clips from the dvds yourself with a special program or tool? How do you put them together? I am sadly useless in this area but I often hear songs and think of ideas of images and clips to go with them (bg and other stuff) so if it isnt too hard i'd love to learn how it's done and maybe give it a go (secretly, privately cos they'll all be shite lol!) Any advice? Basic Joined: 03 Sep 2005 Posts: 58 AC0018 Posted: 19 May 2006 10:13 pm Re: How does everyone make these videos? terriw1979 wrote: I'm curious cos i wouldn't know where to start! Though it's not the programme that I use I know a lot of vidders use Movie Maker, it comes as standard on the latter versions of Microsoft Windows. Sadly I can't tell you much more about the programme than that. Maybe OWH or Jeanna use it and can tell you a bit more. If you can get it to work for you don't be afraid to give making music videos a try. It's a great deal of fun and very satisfying to watch something come together, especially when you're the one who's made it. As Nikki would say: 'Well you should give it a go sometime, you don't know what you're missing.' Or you can download whole episodes from the net. I've never ripped straight from a DVD to my computer - I think you can use Nero for that but windows XP service pack 2 has a conflict with Nero so I had to stop using it. I use a program called ULead and it let's me import the DVD's directly into the program and edit from there. Good luck with it and be patient, I have found it to be both frustrating and rewarding (almost at the same time) Sophies World reader Joined: 07 Jun 2005 Posts: 1466 Location: Obsessing about Helen in the U.S. |

I know this is an old post, but I happened upon this website with info on making music videos and thought it may be of interest. http://www.voyager-conspiracy.co.uk/Videos.html Just click the Video Making Guide tab Roxio Buzz is touted as the simplest video editor for making videos and getting them up on to YouTube. The base version of Roxio Buzz is free, but it’s a large file to download ~ 50MB. http://www.roxio.com/enu/solutions/roxiola...video/buzz.html Then there's Windows Movie Maker 2 It’s free and is compatible with WindowsXP with SP2 http://www.pcworld.com/downloads/file/fid,...escription.html http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloa...oviemaker2.mspx How To Use WMM 2 editorial available here http://www.atomiclearning.com/moviemaker2 http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/m...er/default.mspx |
