Down the Block

You must have right, Kat. I could tell you how is the traduction in French when I will see the french episodes. For "tell me you love me", I hope it will be "dis moi que tu m'aimes" instead of "dites moi que vous m'aimez". Just here, the "tutoiement" will give the scene more intense and more sexy (does "sexier" exist ? like "happier", "prettier" ...). But I prefer watching the english version with the real voices of Helen and Nikki (I love the Nikki one, -;))) And in English, how can make the difference between "tu" and "vous"? At the beginning of a relationship, you can use "vous" then after few hours, days, ..., you can say "tu" : how can know, in using "you" if you tell "vous" or "tu" ? Big question isn'it ?!! Bon courage Kat pour tes études. J'espère que tu pourras réaliser tes projets rapidement. Dans quelle ville aimerais tu habiter en France ? Cheers, Angie |

That is one shortcoming of English, there is no real distinction. You all (many people) vs. you (just one person) is the closest, but there is no pronoun for when you are speaking to someone older/wiser/respected. |
