Another great Nikki quote:

H: How come you're still on basic? Have you not worked out yet how to be a good girl?
N: Well you know me Helen, as long as my gob's open I'm gettin' into trouble!

As with most lines, it's not only the words, but the way MJ delivers them. She's at her best when she's droll and just a bit sarcastic.

From "Drug Wars":

Nikki: I think you do a really great [anti-drug] poster. Very eye-catching! Totally pointless, but -
Helen: What? You think it's pointless to protect your civil liberties, do you?
Nikki: My what?
Helen: Because that's what I'm trying to do here, Nikki, for all you non-drug users.
(Nikki's got this great "wtf?" look on her face.)
Nikki: Huh?
Helen: Because I'm sick of what you have to put up with, and your visitors. ALl because we don't target the real abusers and get them on some treatment.
Nikki: Are you trying to wind me up?
Helen: You're not telling me that you take drugs, are you?
Nikki: No. [pause] I'm not telling you anything.

She had some great, great scenes with Jack Ellis (Fenner). Those two characters had such a wonderful antagonistic chemistry between them. Someone earlier in the thread mentioned the "Nice to see you've still got your sense of humour" line he said to her, but this one is also a favourite of mine (from "Mistaken Identity", where Nikki and Yvonne swap cells):

Yvonne: I'm really sorry about this, Nikki.
Nikki: It's not your fault Fenner's a bastard. (Fenner is standing right in front of Nikki and she looks right through him.)
Fenner: You're lucky you're not going down to the Block.
Nikki: I'm lucky I keep all my privileges up here (taps forehead), where you can't touch them.

A great contrast to the sadness of Spencer's death, in "Falling Apart", there were several gems between Nikki and the two Julies regarding the prospect of making the wine:

JulieS: Do you use that watering can?
Nikki (hugging the can to her chest): Yes, I do.

(They've all but persuaded her to do it, 'cause she's a softie.)

Nikki: How are you going to keep it at the right temperature?
JulieJ: Well, what we thought was, we could take it in turns to come out and hug it.
Nikki: Pardon?

JulieS: Yeah. You do a relay backwards and forewards, filling your flask until everyone on the wing has some.
Nikki: Oh, piss off! That's the biggest pile of bollocks I've ever heard!

And a great line about Nikki, from Shell Dockley. I forget the ep, but it's in season three when Nikki moves back up to Enhanced.

Shell: Here comes the mobile library.

Interviewer: What is the most important lesson life has taught you?
Jorja Fox: You get what you settle for.

coolbyrne,

I love that line/scene as well. The "Do Or Die" Ep.

Nikki replies to Shell, " You should try reading sometime, feed your tiny brain."
Some of the credit must go to the writers though, but Mandana does a great
job delivering the lines.

I love the "Lucky I keep all my priveleges up here" one, and I love how she hugged her watering can, very protective of her watering can she was!

Also from "Do or Die", when Nikki brings the two Julies to the Potting Shed to reveal the true nature of Tinker-

Pam Jolly: Why are they crying?
Nikki: Because they're nutters.
Interviewer: What is the most important lesson life has taught you?
Jorja Fox: You get what you settle for.

Speaking of cats & "Do Or Die" Ep
I love Shell's witty comment " You don't have to lick pussy's to like them"

And the 2nd last scene of that Ep, Nikki says to Shell, "Cat got your tongue Dockley?"

I love Mandana's deliverance of that line!

By the way, is deliverance a word?

Yes, deliverance is a word, but it means "the act of setting free."

Ok thanks, I was just using it to mean "the way in which the line was delivered"!

I forget the ep, but;

Shell: I'm gonna be back up on the threes sooner than any of you wankers think.
Nikki: Well us wankers won't hold our breath.

I also love that line "Lucky I keep all my privileges up here"I can strongly identify with it, I know exactly how Nikki felt.

Another brilliant quote Nikki says to Di Barker, when Di is searching Nik's cell :-
" Have a good check in my magic wardrobe Miss."
Love that line. Again credit to the writer - Phil Ford :clap
