Well of the more recent US TV progs, Battlestar Galactica is one of my favourites. I think it's a much more interesting prog. than Lost. NZ has only shown season one. I just got a copy of season two, loaned to me by someone in Aussie. Anyway, just finished watching ep one. So how did Maxine Purvis end up on board Battlestar Galactica? and as a goodie? Surely she should be a cylon at least? |

Yeah, I just about fainted when I realized it was her working as the medic. I barely recognized her without the accent and the eyeliner. My favorite shows (past and present) include: The X-Files Six Feet Under The Sopranos Sex and the City ER (love-hate relationship there, which is now OVER) Battlestar Gallactica Lost America's Next Top Model (its the best reality show out there, I swear) House |

I haven't watched a lot of anime but I do find it quite interesting. I really like Ghost in the Shell. I quite liked the bit of Noir that I've seen.I've heard about Cowboy Bebop and would like to see it. TV progs that I like or have liked (not in order of most to least favourite as I find it hard to work out such an order). This Life Waking the Dead Xena Battlestar Galactica Six Feet Under Queer as Folk (UK) At Home with the Braithewaites Secret Life of Us Wire in the Blood Bodies Without a Trace (kind of solid police drama but well done & I quite like the characters) Maddigans Quest Spooks Between the Lines Edge of Darkness I think Sopranos is an excellent prog though I only got into watching a few eps. |

Hi, My TV watching is quite erratic. I see a couple of episodes here and there and then lose interest. I've never watched anything in Sci-Fi (TV or Movies), so don't recognize most of the shows mentioned. On BBCC ,it's always repeats with few new ones occassionally. The hospital dramas can be quite weary sometimes. All I can say is it's a good job I had my babies, coz after seeing Bodies, you'll never want to have babies, let alone get pregnant!! <shudder> |

Badgirlnut.. you should really check out Battlestar Galactica. It IS one of the best shows ever made! The characters are so great, the plots are intense and it is just a great show overall. The episode '33' is also one of the best episodes of TV. Period. I love how the body count changes in the beginning of each show and the little tidbits of the episodes in the beginning as well. I see no one else has watched 'Dead Like Me'. This is also a great show. Its a dark comedy and was on Showtime in the US for 2 seasons. I have no idea why it got cancelled because it was one of the highest rated shows on Showtime. If you havent seen it.. give it a rent! It can be a bit slow in the beginning, but it is worth it. :-) |

Hi Avalon, Thanx for the suggestion. Since you so sweetly ask me to watch Battlestar Galatica, I'll check if it's shown on any of my cable channels. The problem is when there are so many shows to watch, you don't know which to choose and then you end up watching none!! weird but true. |

I was a big Dead Like Me fan, and was very sad when the show was cancelled. The same writer/executive producer was also behind the short-lived series Wonderfalls, which was only broadcast 4 times, but for a while was constantly being rerun on Logo, because the sister of the main character was a lesbian. A lesbian Republican. Fabulous character, played by the hilarious Katie Finneran. Anyway, Wonderfalls is available on DVD, and I highly reccomend buying it. Its got about the best episode commentary I've ever heard--like watching a show with a bunch of friends in your living room. Oh, and how could I forget Buffy the Vampire Slayer when I made my list?! I loved that show for so many years. |

33 was gripping. But there's also a lot more to BSG. I started off liking Starbuck but I've gone off her a bit. She's got some fascist tendencies from what I've seen of season 1 and season 2 ep 1. I also liked the president to start with but I've gone off her a bit too. I'm liking Sharon/Boomer more and more - complex, continues an old sci fi theme of what it is that makes us human. Now I'm off thw atc sesaon 2 ep 2. And I forgot that I also enjoyed Attachments. |

I love this type of question!!! Past and present, in no particular order... Bad Girls Footballers' Wives Between the Lines (excellent Campgrrls, I see you like this too!) Capital City Waking the Dead Queer As Folk (that's the UK version, have never been tempted to watch QAF-US) Star Trek - The Next Generation The X-Files The Young Ones Bottom Absolutely Fabulous Widows (the complete trilogy...my fantasy is for Lynda La Plante to script a BG episode!) Prime Suspect Cracker LA Law Twin Peaks This Life Cardiac Arrest (does *anyone* remember this? It was like the best hospital drama EVER!) |

I just started watchined Between the Lines on DVD. I'm about four episodes in, and its definitely engaging me. Mo has so much going on behind her eyes--I'm very much looking forward to seeing how they explore this character.... |
