Route66: When was your last visit? It keeps getting better, and there's always room for one more. Can't you call it a business trip ... do I understand correctly that you're in the entertainment/movie industry? They're always filming something down here, and the scenery is lovely! |

Hi Dianel, It's been awhile. Oh, I'd love to head to Key West right now, and drink a bottle of Teacher's for Hemingway's upcoming birthday, and visit his six-toed cats. Yes, I work in the film/tv industry. ![]() It's Pub Crawl time! Cheers, Route66 |

Hey 66: Well let me know when you're headed back this way. I'll meet you before you head down to visit those mutated cats and buy you a drink! Cheers, Diane |

Thankfully the temperature has warmed up here in Sydney. Very windy today though, the wind is gusting at 35 km/h! The current temp is 20 C, quite warm for winter.

Sorry to hear it. It can get you down after a while. dianelscott
Hope it hasn't spoiled your 4th of July too badly. btw, I thought hurricane season wasn't til October? We have had rain most of the day, for which the flowers and grass are quite grateful. |

Hey AJ: Hurricane season is from June - November. We were real lucky last year, but we remember all too well getting spanked by Wilma, right after Katrina hit La the year before. I couldn't believe all the trees down - whole lots flattened. Broken and smashed traffic lights everywhere, roof pieces in the streets and parking lots. It seemed to take forever to clean it up. So we have our fingers crossed. I sent you a PM, thanks for yours. |

Well the temparture has dropped dramatically in the last couple of days. This morning it's only 7.3 C, with chilli winds running at 16.6 km/h. But at least the sun is out. I can't remember Sydney having such a cold winter. Come summer come.

It's 65º. So of course I looked for an excuse to go do Errands. I went out to find someone playing an Irish harp--on the semi-crowded downtown sidewalk--for no discernible reason. But competently. I admit to finding this apparition a bit surreal, even for my town. |

72 here. Warm and sunny. Day before Thanksgiving. I mowed the lawn to mulch the fallen leaves. And watched a peregrine falcon perched on the fence in my yard devouring a mousie. |
