G2 landing

I've often wondered what would have happened if Pat got a "Pardon" after the acknowledgement of being abused at the Children's Home not to mention her boyfriend. It was another day in Larkhall Women's Prison where Pat Kerrigan had been incarcerated for nearly two years. Alot had happened in the past two years, most notably the murder of Jim Fenner, the most hated and feared Male Screw who worked his way up to Wing Govenor. Yet the best thing was that she met Sheena Williams, a recovering drug addict who was released on good behavior who was reunited with her son Dylan who lived in a special place where a friend of Pat's took in children while their mothers were in prison. Pat worked hard at her factory job, kept her nose clean and although she battled Nathalie Buxton a "nonce", she was now Top Dog which was a major honor since she was stepping into if not filling the shoes of Yvonne Atkins, a legendary prisoner who died in the prison dungeon after Fenner kept her locked inside. Sadly enough, Yvonne's daughter Lauren was currently serving an eight year prison sentence for extortion at Clapton Marsh, another Prison across London. When she was called into the Office of Lou Stoke, the new Wing Govenor, she sat with her and congratulated her on her release. The blood drained from Pat's face and when she asked if this was actually true, Lou smiled and said yes. So a couple of days later, she packed her things, said goodbye to her friends, most notably Julie Johnston whose best mate Julie Saunders was released and leading a very productive life. After the gates shut, she let out a big sigh, partially sad and partially relieved. She saw the other ex-prisoners being greeted by family and friends with hugs, kisses and rides back into the city. She managed to save enough money for a Cab which was driven by another former inmate named Kristin Yates, who went to prison a couple of years ago to protect her sister Milly who was the true killer. As they drove along, Kristin asked if there was any place for her to go to which Pat gently said no, but Kristin said not to worry, she knew of someplace for her to go. It was a Halfway House owned by Monica Lindsay, who several years back served seven months of a five year sentence for embezzlement although she was innocent. She got a generous donation from another inmate named Barbara Hunt, who donated $500,000.00 to help other inmates restart their life. Monica greeted her with a hug and warmly welcomed her which was something that Pat wasn't ready for. "Would you like something to eat dear?" asked Monica. "Sure, I have a craving for eggs." admitted Pat gratefully. So Monica prepared Eggs, Bacon, Toast, & a fresh pot of Coffee that Pat ate ravenously since Prison Food wasn't really edible. After the dishes were done, they sat in the Dining Room, and Monica explained the rules. "You have to wear a tag all the time around your ankle so the Parole Board knows where you are at all times, you have to always be in the House by 7:00 and on Weekends, you can't go out because you can get in trouble, trust me, I had two women named Phyl & Bev who really took advantage and got sent back to Larkhall." explained Monica. "You knew those two?" asked Pat surprised. "Yes, and those two looked at my house like some blue collar bed and breakfast, lazy as hell which got alot of the ladies very angry." explained Monica. "I also had Julie Saunders here, but she was so scared of being on the outside, she begged me to drive her back to Larkhall." "Wow." replied Pat. "Now there are all kinds of things you can do, pick up a trade, learn a skill, besides being the owner of this house before it became a Halfway House, there's another one nearby that another counsellor manages, so it's two for the price of one." she explained. "That's great." smiled Pat. "Oh, I also teach the ladies about Money Management, before I went to Larkhall, I was a financial advisor, who is now using my skills in a more positive manner." replied Monica. "Here are some pamphlets and leaflets for courses you may want to look into, there's so many things to learn, and you look like a very smart person." smiled Monica. "Thanks so much." smiled Pat. "Here, let me show you to your room, the other ladies are at work, so you'll meet them later on." explained Monica. So as Pat came up the stairs and saw her new room, it was really nice. It had a fresh coat of paint, a bed, desk, chair and a closet to put away her things. "Do you want to take a nap." asked Monica. "Yeah, that would be great." replied Pat gratefully. So Monica closed the door and Pat fell asleep under the fresh crispness of the sheets, but something inside her broke like nearly two years of repressed pain bubbling to the surface. She started to cry, bittersweet tears of happiness and sorrow, not only for being happy about being released but not having the one person she wanted more than anything else: Sheena Williams. A recovering drug addict with a little boy named Dylan, she got released and broke up with Pat breaking her heart in the process. She wondered how Sheena was doing, was she working, did she have a place of her own, etc. Later on, she used the bathroom, to wash and dry her eyes and the "girls" came home. Many of them were inmates of other prisons, such as Clapton Marsh, Crow's Hall, and Manor House where former screw Di Barker Fenner was serving a life sentence for murdering her husband Jim. The other ladies were very nice and supportive welcoming her and telling her that the world was her oyster and not to worry so long as she kept her nose clean, etc. After dinner, they had a group session where they talked about themselves, their lives, and how they were progressing to keep their lives being better now than it was then. Although Pat wasn't ready to talk about herself just yet, she really felt that these women were amazing, they weren't judgemental, self-righteous, or obnoxious, they were just trying to improve their lives. So after checking out some options, she decided to work learning how to repair things, like sinks, bathtubs, that sort of thing and she was quite good at it. She chose to work in low income neighborhoods, who got glowing recomendations from her customers who loved her. The months went by and after successfully completing her probation at the "House", she decided to find a place of her own. Unfortunately, she found out that some places didn't want to rent to an ex-con, but fate stepped in with Barbara Hunt, who not only was a former inmate of Larkhall (a mercy killer), she found an Apartment nearby where Julie S lived which Pat was very grateful for. She also took poetic justice in knowing that Sylvia Hollamby aka Bodybags was living in a flat similar to hers. It seems that after Husband # 1 Bobby bankrupted her, and Husband # 2 Malcom Nicholson only married her for her inheritance, she was just living above water. So one night, she decided to have some "fun" and after hearing about a club in the Soho district called "Chix", she decided to have a go. Upon arrival, the place was packed which was owned by a lady named Trisha who took on full-ownership after her ex-girlfriend and partner Nikki Wade sold out. She had a terrific time, having Shirley Temples for drinks |
