As Pat drank her "cocktail", she felt great knowing that she could have a non-alcoholic drink and as she saw the couples and singles dance, she really felt at home.

She even discovered that there was a Pool Table so she played and had a blast but she chose not to gamble, because she wanted to stick to her "budget".

She got a couple of numbers from ladies who told her to give her a call when she was ready but she knew that deep down it was Sheena whom she wanted.

Yet it was fate that intervened in the most unusual way. She was at the mall walking around, checking out the new fashions not to mention the new technology, and saw Julie Saunders working at the Hair Salon.

She stopped in to say hello, and Julie S. was surprised and happy to see her too.

"Listen love, I can't talk right now because I'm working, would you like to meet me here later, you can come by my place and we could grab a bite to eat." she asked.

"I'd like that alot." replied Pat.

Because it was Friday, the Salon was open until 9:00 PM, so Pat refreshened herself, met Julie S. and they went back to her flat.

Julie decorated her flat really nicely with curtains, duvets, and things that made her Cell at Larkhall look more like a Dormitory Room at Uni. She explained that it was how she decorated it that made being in prison more bearable.

She cooked some Chicken & Rice with Vegetables and a Salad and they had some pound cake that Julie S. picked up on the way home.

Afterwards, they drank some delicious tea and sat on Julie S's Sofa and did a catch up.

Julie told Pat how she was transferred to Crow's Hall the "Open" Prison and really helped her alot. She learned to be independent and not co-dependent.

By picking up skills, going for counselling and having friends many of which were supportive of her new life who also were in Larkhall way before Pat arrived.

"That's great, but don't you miss Julie J, her being your mate and all." asked Pat.

"Sure, I miss her but she has to take care of herself and stand on her own two feet, I went to visit her but she's such a mess refusing to take her medication and all, that I can't take care of her anymore." sighed Julie S.

"Hmm, if she got out tomorrow, would you help her." asked Pat.

"The best way I knew how but I wouldn't allow myself to be dragged down with her any more, I did before and I paid in spades." replied Julie S.

"What do you mean?" asked Pat.

So Julie S told her about her and Julie J's lives. Working as hookers, having Virginia O'Kane as a boss, getting released together, getting re-arrested, Julie S leaving, returning when being on the "outside" was too overwhelming for her.

Yet the ultimate price she and Julie J. paid was when they scalded a young man named Damien who had Julie J's daughter Rhiannon working as a prostitute. Hollamby testified against them and they got eight additional years.

"Dear God, I didn't know any of that, I'm sorry." murmured Pat.

"Yeah, well don't be, we all learn from our mistakes don't we but we move on and survive." replied Julie S.

"You're right about that." sighed Pat.

So later on, Pat left not realizing that fate was going to swing her way.

The weeks went on and then Pat got a real solid assignment. There was a Daycare Center that needed some repairing especially since it got hot during the Summer and cold during the Winter.

As Pat walked into the school, she saw all kinds of children from various backgrounds and met Tonya Fredericks, the director of the school who explained that the area needed new pipes and general repairs.

So Pat worked enthusiastically and during Lunchtime she was allowed to eat in the Staff Cafeteria. She met Buki Lester, a trained Child Care worker who had scars on her arms from self mutilation she admitted.

She explained that Julie J's granddaughter Ashanti stayed her in the daytime while her parents Fidelity & David worked, yet one young man who was the apple of her eye was Dylan Rogers.

"Dylan?" asked Pat surprised.

"Yes, his mother is so nice, in fact she helps out during the Xmas Holidays raising money and things for kids in need." explained Buki.

"If you don't mind my asking, what's her name?" asked Pat.

"Sheena, as in Sheena Queen Of The Jungle" giggled Buki.

The minute Pat heard that, she almost lost it, but she knew she couldn't tell Sheena she was here, it would be too complicated.

So she asked if she could come in earlier to start her work which surprised Tonya but she said yes. The next couple of weeks, she worked harder than before making sure that this Daycare shone like a star.

After the assignment was finished, she left earlier but watched from a distance the parents walking in to get their children. When she saw Sheena her heart almost broke.

She looked just as beautiful with her Red Hair cut shorter and a beautiful smile, she happily took Dylan and in his pram walked him to her car and they drove home.

The weeks went by but somehow Pat just couldn't build her nerve to look for Sheena, she may have met someone else, moved on and forgot about her, and maybe their past was too painful for Sheena to deal with.

However, Sheena was going to be in for a surprise. Buki had invited Dylan over for a play date at the estate that she shared with Christopher Biggins, B Star Celebrity and his companion and her son Lennox or Baxter who was in a wheelchair but he was a delightful little boy.

So after greeting them both, Buki fixed Sheena up with the tea and biscuits while Dylan happily ate his applesauce.

"I have to admit, whoever worked on the pipes and other repairs did a great job, do you know who it was?" asked Sheena.

"Yeah, her name is Pat." replied Buki.

"Pat?" asked Sheena.

"Yeah, really terrific lady, she got released from Larkhall not to long ago." replied Buki. "Which reminds me, did you know her?" she asked.

"Oh yeah, she was my roommate and we were partners, we even planned to get our partnership "legalized". admitted Sheena sadly. "I broke up with her and broke her heart."

"Why don't you try and contact her?" suggested Buki. "You never know what could happen?" asked Buki.

"Well, I don't know, I hurt her so badly before, I don't want to hurt her again." replied Sheena with a sigh.

"Listen, I'll do some calls make some contacts and take it from there, you never know okay." replied Buki.

"Okay." replied Sheena gratefully.

So after work one day, Buki went into Soho which was located in the Gay Community and went into Chix where she found Nikki Wade. She heard about Chix from Christopher who was an icon in the Gay Community.

She asked if anyone remembered Pat Kerrigan coming into the Bar and explained that she was helping a friend out. One of the bartenders indicated that Pat was playing pool and Buki thanked her.

She saw Pat playing and with her mobile, took a quick picture and left. She went to Sheena's showed her the picture which was Pat and Sheena quickly downloaded it on her computer.

"Well, I've found her and now the rest is up to you." smiled Buki.

"Aww, thanks but what do I do next?" asked Sheena.

"Go to the club man, give me Dylan and you two try to work things out, hey go to Julie S's Salon, she'll make you look stunning if you go." suggested Buki.

So Sheena agreed and went and got a new outfit, got a manicure, pedicure, the whole works and hoping that everything would work out fine.

Later on, that evening she arrived at the club that had a large lineup but patience is a virtue as Sheena remembered in the lineup for Breakfast, Dinner, & Tea.

She finally entered the Club which was jam packed with people. She went to the bar and got a Coke and saw the couples dancing. She tapped her feet but more than anything else, she wanted to see Pat.

Then the moment of truth arrived. Pat entered the club, smiling waving and kissing cheeks bringing the same type of attention that Tony Manero did in Saturday Night Fever.

Yet when she saw Sheena, her jaw dropped not believing that she had seen her soulmate for the first time in almost two years.

"Hi." replied Sheena awkwardly.

"Hi yourself." replied Pat.

As they looked at each other, they were at a loss for words not knowing what to say to one another.

"Look can we talk?" asked Sheena.

"Sure, I'd like that alot." replied Pat.

So when they went upstairs into the lounge area where they got a Table and talked some more. It was mostly polite conversation about their jobs, who's still at Larkhall, etc.

They each wanted to say much more but somehow couldn't. So Sheena excused herself to go to the ladies room and when she was in there, she saw a lady with reddish brown hair who was putting on her makeup.

"Oh, excuse me." replied the lady with a disctinctive Scottish Accent.

"No problem." smiled Sheena.

"If you don't mind my asking, is this your first time here?" asked the lady.

"Yes, it is." replied Sheena. "How do you know?" she asked.

"Well, my partner used to co-own this club and we come here as often as we can." she smiled. "For some strange reason I feel as though I know you."*

"I'm fairly new to the "life" in more ways than one, my name is Sheena Rogers." she explained.

"Helen Stewart." the scottish lady replied. "This place means so much to me."

"Really how?" asked Sheena.

"It was here that me and my girlfriend made up after months of arguing and selfish pride and stubbornness which was all my fault, but I got a second chance and now I can't imagine my life without her." smiled Helen.

"Well that's beautiful." smiled Sheena.

"Thanks, well best of luck to you, I've got to go." grinned Helen.

So after Helen left, Sheena thought "It's never too late to have what you want."

After she left the ladies, she grabbed Pat and said "Let's dance."

Although Pat never really liked to dance, with Sheena she felt light on he feet, and they had the time of their life.

Yet when they played some slow music, that's when they really got romantic especially when the DJ played some of the most beautiful love songs of the past several years such as

"How Do I Live Without You." by Trisha Yearwood
"Unbreak My Heart." by Toni Braxton
"Crazy." by K-CI & Jo-Jo

When the evening came to an end Sheena asked Pat back to her place saying not to worry that Dylan was being babysat for the evening.

So they went in Sheena's Car that led them to her flat across town.

After opening the door, Pat was really impressed at how beautifully decorated it was with nice colors and everything so clean and orderly.

When Sheena asked what Pat she wanted to drink, she asked for Tea, saying she cut drinking, not that she was an alcoholic but she just didn't need it.

So after bringing two cups, and putting on some romantic music, the two ladies talked.

"We have alot of bases to cover don't we." asked Sheena softly.

"Yeah, we certainly do." replied Pat.

So Sheena told Pat everything that had happened. About getting a stern warning about not to mess up again, putting Dylan first and living life for herself and not anyone else.

"I thought that breaking up was the best thing for both of us, you kept saying that it wouldn't last and I allowed myself to believe that." replied Sheena softly.

"Yeah, well my last couple of months wasn't exactly a picnic, it got worse before it got better, Julie J. had a nervous breakdown, the Prison seemed to go downhill, nobody was happy, Darlene even tried to kill herself." sighed Pat.

"Nobody said Prison was easy but we survived." replied Sheena.

"Yeah, you're right about that." sighed Pat.

"So what happens next?" asked Sheena.

"I don't know Sheena, you broke my heart, I don't think I could handle being heartbroken again." replied Pat frankly.

"I know, and there isn't a day of the week where I don't think about what I did to you and us." replied Sheena. "I just didn't want to be co-dependent on you or anyone."

"I know that now but I haven't been out that long, I still have to do counselling, and get myself straightened out financially amongst other things." Pat admitted.

"We can just do things bit by bit, we still have alot of ground to cover for not only ourselves but I have Dylan to think about too." replied Pat.

"Yeah, how is he?" smiled Pat.

"He's fine, very happy little boy, here's a picture of him." Sheena indicated proudly.

As Pat looked at him, she smiled and said "You're a very lucky little boy to have a mommy who loves you."

Later on, Pat decided to leave, Pat gave her a ride home and they took each other's telephone numbers and promised to keep in touch.

Yet Pat wasn't sure if she wanted to start over with Sheena, the love just wasn't there the way it used to be, and then she still had to adjust to life outside.

This is entertaining and all, but I'm wondering when Nikki and Helen are going to get their bit in this? So far not much more than a mention...
