I had a huge crush on my health teacher in highschool. I went out of my way to talk to her everyday and even joined the softball team at her urging. I'm sure she knew that i liked her back then and still kinda do. lol
Yes my name is Annie. My hair is not red, i'm not an orphan, and if you break into song i will be forced to hurt you!

I had what probably should have manifested as a crush on a teacher, if it were not for the fact that I have the emotional intelligence of a football.

I remember her as one of my favourite teachers, despite the fact that I was introduced to her in an English class, one of my least favourite subjects. She was one of the few relatively young women who taught at my high school, which is to say that she was a little more innovative with her teaching methods, she showed a greater interest in the lives of individual students, she was quite outspoken, and most importantly she was not one to tolerate ignorance. It was not unusual to hear through the grapevine that she had torn a strip out of some student or faculty member who had made a racist, misogynistic, homophobic, or other derogatory remark.

I vividly remember one incident when she had taken a group of us students on field trip to see a staging of Shakespeare’s Antony and Cleopatra. During one scene Cleopatra kissed one of her serving maids, which provoked one of the students in attendance to quite audibly exclaim “Ewwwwww.” When we all piled onto the bus after the show, my teacher wasted no time in taking the student to task over how disrespectful she had been, not only, to the performers and other audience members, but also to her fellow classmates. What I always found remarkable was that any time she set off to rebuke a student she did so with a wit and intelligence that left the person on the receiving end feeling sufficiently sheepish, but experiencing no lasting ill will.

She made an effort to create a very tolerant and accepting atmosphere in her classroom, and I always found it to be a very safe space. Unfortunately, she was not a permanent staff member and her time at my school was far too brief, but if I were to meet her on the street some day, I would feel compelled to thank her.

O_ M_ G  I asked my French teacher to marry me...in 9th grade. I ran into her a couple of years ago in a parking lot, and I was STILL tongue-tied

I don't think I ever went that far!

On the trip away I did end up sitting next to her out of choice to get away from other students singing  We chatted and read together, sat watching Pearl Harbour and then.. She fell asleep next to me. I nearly freaked out at just how cute she looked!!
I felt you in my life before I ever thought to

Holy Tuna Casserole! Talk about coincidence. I just saw the teacher, who I was so fond of in high school, on the television. The CBC is broadcasting a “Test the Nation” quiz show and this particular installment is on language; and wouldn’t you know it, my former teacher is sitting front and center in the “English teacher” section of the studio. They even shoved the microphone in her face for a moment! Now here is a question: What is the appropriate emotional response to this scenario?

a) Extreme joy, the likes of which might prompt me to frolic gaily.
b) An exaggerated swoon that may cause me to tumble out of my seat.
c) Mild amusement over being the victim of an acute attack of probability theory.
d) An undeniable craving for a peanut butter sandwich.

Loon , stop dancing around. You may fall and hurt yourself. LOON! I said "Sit in that chair!"
Rut ro ...you ok? **getting out smelling salts**
I just knew that was gonna happen. *heavy sigh*

Just DON"T make any PB sandwiches!! In the state (substitute "province" ;) ) you are in, I am having a deja vu of something like bologna being accidentally added. :eek

Fear not! No peanut butter sandwiches were desecrated as a result of any mildly psychotic lapses in memory; in fact, all peanut butter sandwiches that have been subsequently produced have adhered to a strict 5:3 ratio of peanut butter to jam, as well as to the roof of my mouth.

As for the quiz, let’s just say that I knew more than I thought I knew, but there are still some language components that I know I don’t know I don’t know. :D

She wasn’t the blonde on the end but the short haired blonde in the middle. She looked well, though, from the brief seconds that I chanced to glimpse her.

Speaking of authority crushes, I've experienced it the other way round. It was post high school, ofcourse. A bit awkward but I just brushed it aside.

I was wondering if anyone had a similar experience?
