G3 Curtain and Duvet!
|
"Doubt" - the movie. Just saw it for new years. Saw the play about a year ago with Cherry Jones. Meryl was very good, but a bit more school marm and less lifer nun. I am trying to decide if, since the movie was written and directed by the author of the play, the film is a more genuine realization of what the author intended. I got a whiff of sympathy for the priest in the film which I did not get from the play. Did anyone else see the play? |

Anyone seen Revolutionary Road yet? Mildly curious. |

Oh wow. A question from more than a year ago. I have seen Revolutinary Road. And remember not liking it. I'm currently experiencing a bout of my crush on Catherine Deneuve and watching Repulsion by Roman Polanski and guess who appears in one of the first scenes of the movie? None other than Helen Fraser. I recognized the voice immediately, before she even appeared on the screen. Makes it even more interesting. |

Whoa, that's strange! I make it a point to avoid Polanski, but... nice piece of trivia, there. Have you seen Belle du Jour? Of course you have. Terribly funny movie. In a really acidic way.

Yes, it was quite a surprise. She plays a supporting character and just like I was not able to tear my eyes off CD (...in all seriousness), I wasn't able to look away when HF was on the screen. Her part is a supportive/friendly colleague who at one point goes all LMAO over a comedy she's seen... I know, right! Oh yes, I have seen Belle de Jour. Numerous times. I love it. ![]() Next on the list: Tristana. There are two things that are killing me at the moment: 1) My boss' wife is French... When she speaks English, she has the same accent Catherine has... I used to think it was kind of sexy. Not anymore. 2) I recently read that CD thinks beauty is the most overrated feature ever. Sigh. Of course. |
