Holy crap. Can't...breathe. Laughing...too...hard.
Oh, duh. I am such a fucking idiot! Of course! This means I inadvertently spoiled tomorrow's episode for you. I'm really sorry. |

You didn't. Honest. Ask Cagey. I emailed her my semi-regular snart-rant not fit for public consumption, a sort of Purge before Posting, of which the salient point was: oh, just get through this scene & don't-screw-him so you can come out to him already. <big toothy grin>

Great comments all. Today's show: Philip takes action, Olivia takes action to alleviate what ails them. Quack, quack, quack, quack. Fun with ducks, even if it means a trip to Mexico. Olivia, pour baby. She seems so sad. After Olivia reins in “the girls” from Josh’s clutches she says “I” thirteen times, counting the stutters. I’m, I’m stupid. I don’t know what I want. I mean I want this. I’m sad. I shouldn’t have invited you in here. I need something. I just don’t know what it is. I just don’t want to be alone. If I ask, I’m being selfish (be selfish woman, you deserve it). Then she says “me’s” and “my”….Could you just lay next to me, sleep with me, hold my hand. Hurting much? I think it’s significant that Olivia is saying “I” repeatedly. This carries over from her rhetorical question the previous day, "why is it that nobody (at this point including Natalia) loves me for me?" Although Olivia feels asking to be held is “selfish", if feels like this is part of Olivia reclaiming herself. She still feels very much alone, but boundaries have been reinstated and signs of the bad ass Ms Spencer are showing. We saw that yesterday with the great Blake put down “stop with the cute talk”. LOL. I’m looking forward to the return of her intended. And btw, they haven't had a good fight since the spa bra throwing. Their fights usually moved the relationship along. p.s. Spoilers should be considered “guidelines” only I have found. :ph43r: |

Good point. Arguably this began with her visit to Gus's grave where she said "We'll make each other happy" which was maybe the first time she articulated her need for happiness as if it was something that might matter to someone else (in this case Gus, in yesterday's episode Josh, in the future maybe Natalia). In rereading the article, I can see why I had assumed the coming out got cut. The way the quote is edited, with the [then] inserted, it suggests pretty definitively that coming out precedes cuddling. Now in re-reading it, and having seen yesterday's ep, it maybe seems like Olivia tries to have sex with him again, can't again, and THEN comes out to him? She does refer to it almost happening twice. Ach, who knows. We'll see when we see. I am looking forward to today's ep regardless. Each day down is a day closer to Nat's return. |

Look what I found in my "new" youtube vids. I love all these older episodes being reposted in better quality...well except for the time factor it takes to watch them all.... Natalia has done her wait and set a date spill before.... (Also love the comment/complaint about the predecorated xmas tree..) Enjoy. |

Huh -- staring at this monologue on the page: this could all be addressed to Natalia. Maybe it is, since Josh is her affection substitute. It's probably on an eternal loop in her mind and that's what's keeping her awake. |

Exactly, a internal loop with Natalia as the audience. I found it touching that Olivia Freakin Spencer expresses any reticence of asking for something ....for being "selfish"... this is a needy Olivia but in a good sense for evolution of the character. I like it... and also as ek point out:
Yet I want to see what cagey does referring to previous epis.

Could you fill us (or me) in please? I mean, does everyone spend half the day trolling various lists of all their favorite posters, or is there some WAY you are finding this stuff--from a website, a centralized list? Every time I turn around there's new stuff, and that's great, but at this point I no longer know whether I even HAVE half the clips I have, or if it's a repeat, or if it's a 'better' version, or... what. I mean, fuck. I'm out of hard-drive space. It's ridiculous. Can't someone just organize this stuff?! I don't know who is doing this or where to look or... what. Anyway it's weirdly frustrating, I am just. so. confused. |

morning sweetie, well you can start with my youtube page (busted I am). Troll away. go to account go to subscriptions most of these ladies are reposted high quality and hd clips, the same ones we've been looking at forever except now the visuals are so much prettier. I just recently figured out that when I click on my "subscriptions" the page defaults to "new videos" so if any of my subscriptions have posted a new video, it's right there on top. That's how I found this new and pretty 2007 clip. ![]() See if this link gets you my acct page. http://www.youtube.com/my_subscriptions If not, I just left a comment on Onuts 2007 vid posted above and if you click on my name it should take you to my acct page ...maybe? Oh it takes you to <solitasolano channel> which of course I dont' have, but you can see where I've been slummiin around. The list of subscriptions is the lower left corner, scroll down and expand the list... Otalia HD is redoing all episodes in HD adding new ones almost every day. electrica83 has had hd for awhile (Sweden not less) but not complete critic2000 does hd also, but doesn't quite over lap with the above so have to hunt ad peck around the overlaps. Yodaluver was best quality when I jumped on the wagon in July, others are better now, but they have full episodes. Otalianut now doing hd annieQC74 has the oldies but goodies, but just not in hd. There's someone on BPD who has all episodes since Dec 2008 for downloads in HD...whaaa I don't have time... if you want that link I can find it.... I never downloaded and BGs and regret that bec now I have nadda...most likely will be the same for this stuff (how will I get my crystal crack fit?) Whoops gotta go punch the time clock... ETA: I forgot, say go to Otalia HD "Playlist" on her Channel page (click name) and the HD playlist is in order from Jan thur April....organized.... or is there some WAY you are finding this stuff--from a website, a centralized list? http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=1B...270C0E22&page=1 I like trolling myself.

Thanks very much Solita! I'll check it out when I get back from the post office in one piece (always iffy), maybe. I'm really of two minds about whether or how much farther to go/bother with all this. My hard drive has limits, and I don't understand why, for material recorded in 2008, it's taken this long for people to post it. That's just weird. I have all the HD 2009 stuff, am not concerned abt that, but I imagine others will find that link very helpful! Thanks again!Otalia: they're too black & white for me to spend much time running down the obvious differences in character, I'd rather they'd been better-integrated, individually, in some ways. Olivia's body, Nat's mind. Olivia's external, Nat's internal; O's secular, N's spiritual/religious etc etc. My only point, really, is that I think 1) this is Olivia's story, & always has been (my opinion, feel free to wait after school in the corridor to beat me up); 2) as the public face of Otalia, Olivia carries--and will continue to carry--almost the sole burden of coming out. Explaining this to the audience, making her choices clear. Natalia just isn't going to do this in some major, kiss-her-in-front-of-everyone way. I don't think. That's not the function her character has performed, throughout. I think N has to come back & make it right with Olivia, like everyone's been saying for, ohhh, 3 months or whatever: but that will primarily be private. (Which we, as audience, are also privy to. Kinda. Sorta. Maybe. Not-really-but-we'll-get-the-message-anyway.) Because the private is Natalia's sphere, just as public is Olivia's. --e |

Last thing out of Olivia's mouth today... "I was just kind of hopin'...that maybe.....that you were ready to come home." Said to Jellybean over the phone, aimed at you know who....guess who we'll see next because for some reason we'll probably never know, Natalia is ready to come home very soon. ETA: Oh yeah, so agree this is Olivia's story. Good summary. |

I got almost nothing to say about this bit, today. Maybe Cagey can give the Overview so there's some theme I can grasp which escaped me. Beyond Talk to Your Children. The only thing *I* want to ask is if it's really so wrong for me to start fantasizing about horrible ways for Rafe to die every time he shows up on-screen. Because I don't even know how he could be more hateful, at this point. Still don't think we're done with Josh. Dunno why. He's like a persistent rash. |

What I learned on teevee today: The theme of Parents Love You (besides what you already know): Vanessa and Josh have a who's the better parent show down. The winner: Vanessa - Josh is a total ass about this (saying Dinah manipulated Shayne into marrying her). Daisy says she understands her parent's choices - James is ready to cut some slack to Alan but not Philip. People leave Springfield without saying goodbye: add Shayne to the list of lost lovers - saying explicitly that Dinah didn't say goodbye. Reva is completely batshit talking to pictures and Olivia is way more healthy. Was it just me or did Olivia give Josh the final goodbye kiss for possible sexy times? Though I am willing to think some of these touching moments are for long time viewers who want to see Olivia and Josh in a resolved and happy place. I have a certain sympathy for the writers having to tie up - just to represent - 72 years of story. I also agree that this is Olivia's story - for all the reasons that long time soap watchers have said: to wit, she has seniority. She has a history to which we can refer and utilize to interpret her actions. Natalia has almost none. That is how these soap stories develop. Although as I watch more fanvids, especially, because of the still cutting, I think I can see the ambivalence in Natalia's eyes more and more. ekny You contrasts are very valid. I suspect your sense of them being b/w versus in glorious color has more to do with how you receive the story. I am guessing real soap watchers see them in all sorts of contrasting hues. Ok, let's just review why in the world Emma is ready to come home: She doesn't want Josh. Her daughters love her.-- and...? |

That's how I read it, which is in part why I think we're still not quite resolved on that issue: O hasn't told him. She might be wanted by every male in Springfield, but he's really the only one who's still a viable option for her; telling him precludes that. |
