In love with a prisoner
|
I love seeing Olivia in full-on emotional mode. There's something strong even in her anguish. Like, she's not weak and defeated in her suffering, or something. So I'm excited for tomorrow's ep. In the end, it's the little moments in CC's performance which create the overall impact, like the arm shove she gave Father Ray. That's the kind of thing those horribly-written episode summaries can never capture. And I'm only 33 (I almost typed 31--what happened to the last two years?) and I know the "Stella!!!!!!!!!!!!" reference. I'm a theater person though, so I guess I'm not like an average American of my age. |

In love with a prisoner
|
From all those Peapack stalker photos today, a photo included a piece of a script page, which someone blew up in Photoshop and transcribed: At the top it says: Natalia: I wasn't thinking about me and Frank. I was thinking about me and you. [further down page? not sure, haven't seen original, which has since been yanked] Natalia: (too hard to read) ... It was only that one time. Olivia: That's all it takes. Natalia: I know. And I was stupid. And when I found out I was mortified and embarrassed and ashamed. I was so ashamed. I thought maybe God was punishing me for my feelings about you. Or maybe he was sending me a sign that I was supposed to marry Frank. I was so confused. But mostly I was scared. About what this would do to us. Olivia: Why didn't you just tell me? Abzug back here. Obviously I was wrong in my post in the other thread about whether Nat wondered if God wanted her to marry Frank. |

And, the photos from Peapack today. Please feel free to forward and post. Certain other elements have been taking these photos down from various places so that not everyone can see them, and I hate when information is censored.![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Well having that little tidbit must have the producers - if they care at all anymore - in a spin. Thanks for bringing that over abzug Maybe now they can get on to building that 21st C soap family.
Time just zips by doesn't it? ![]() Seriously, you've got a decade on some of the posters I've been reading. Plus you are a theater person. And this is good. I don't mean to sound at all condescending about this. It was someone even older than I who suggested that references one used to think were commonly understood are no longer. When I was in college it was the time of the revival of the great films of the 1930s and 1940s - the Bogart revival, for instance. If not for that, I am not sure my cohort would still understand phrases like "We'll always have Paris" as short hand. |

You are just a babe. I was born 2 yrs after "Streetcar" was released. I , like you, know "Stella"!!! Just the thought of Brando's primal scream gives me goose bumps! My mum actually played the Matron in the Winnipeg Theatre Centre production of Streetcar. I have been fortunate enough to be exposed to plenty of theatre, film, ballet and symphony. Looking forward to Olivia going primal. She has been composed far too long. Time to let it rip! so, "Fasten your seatbelts. It’s going to be a bumpy night" ( actual movie quote) misquoted line = "Fasten your seatbelts. It’s going to be a bumpy ride. Love the classics - Bette Davis

BTW, I'm old enough to not even have considered whether or not someone knew the STELLAAAA reference. LOL. BTWWW....traveller totally with you on the Bette Davis thing. |

And the site of "I'm so done with waiting" and the site of Olivia's vmail to Natalia after the little Edmund memorial. It's definitely the locus of much love for the two of them. And if you go back pre-Otalia, it's where Olivia had her fake wedding to Jeffrey, right before she almost died and instead got Gus's heart. So for Olivia in particular, the gazebo is the center of all her fantasies of love for her life. |

solitasolano You got fooled by the shorthand, of which I am often guilty. There is no 'little Edmund" There is a character, Edmund. who may have died - hence the memorial - but now who seems to be alive and masterminding something evil. So they buried him a few weeks ago. Now he is alive and could be a threat. Unless you want to indulge in the whole show, believe me, you don't want to know.
I'm a norcal girl. And I watch the story when I get home in the evening ... But I am happy to see another gal in the time zone.

The ghost of Larkhall!

The Gazebo is the former "Olivia Spencer Memorial" that Gus dedicated to her when everyone thought she was going to die. She ripped the sign off when she became the Galaxy Spokeswoman, I think -- around August/September 2008. Those pictures certainly seem to capture the close working relationship between Jessica and Crystal and how much fun they have together. |
