G3 Curtain and Duvet!
|
Here's what gets me: Who among us has not licked envelopes for the gay cause? So what's the big deal about them having to pack up panties? I know women, from back in the day, who put on cultural events using their rent money - because they felt that strongly about lesbian visibility and artistic expression. Getting paid for the labor? Fat chance - and not the issue. The image of Kim and Crystal sighing their deep sighs over the production problems in December but persevering for The Fans doesn't make them particularly heroic. Do it in a driving rain storm on the eve of a festival or a march. I'm not trying to one-up here, but their problems seem puny and self-inflicted by comparison to what lots of plain old dykes do all the time to create our culture. If they want to market to the lesbian community, they should market to the lesbian community, but don't try to sell this as a labor of love and a political statement to excuse the miscalculations. |

I hear you Sister! I find that I don't notice/ignore their whining. Somehow I don't feel bad for V3-1=V2 at all. They have a "captive" audience which should be nothing but fun and opportunity for them. Yeah, don't feel bad for them. Just bring whatever you have to offer on... Oh sh*t wait. I just now saw your post, ekny. It was on the previous page and I didn't see it... I was just going to say titties are the new panties, but I see you beat me to it. He he he. Your post is very funny. You "look" good shaking your fist. August is a long time away. I never watched Buffy, not one episode so I'm using up my unspent pander pass monopoly cards to follow this car wreak. (Wait, one of these women is actually having an affair with the other?) I'm enjoying all of it more than any reality tv I've seen. But the, I'm easily amused in case you haven't figured that out yet.

Sneerk! I almost lost my Pepsi over the keyboard on that one, nice. Yeah, w/o changes to the writing--which will never happen... lost cause.
No no--just me trying to entertain myself. Suggesting the next step in reality teevee for this crew. <sigh> Cagey, you're right across the boards, but those points are a little abstruse for these folks, I'm thinkin. I confess I only skimmed the |
