Thanks to all who read this, and all who commented. I have learned never to say never, but right this moment I don't feel compelled to write anything more about our favorite couple, and wish instead to focus on Real Life. And, who knows, to find my own Helen (or Nikki)... :hug

Thanks for sharing this writing. It was a different way of presenting their story, but it worked. You really got inside Helens' head and feelings. I hope your muse will make you write more in the future, but in the meantime, enjoy 'real life' and hope you find your Helen or Nikki.

Thanks, ali baba.

I thought you'd given up taking an interest in [my writing], Miss. You only made the one (somewhat skeptical) comment about TRT. But I knew as I was writing it that it wouldn't be to everyone's taste.

I'm really glad you liked this one.

MLB ... what a great story. I really appreciate your musings of how things unraveled after the introduction of Femi and how Helen emotionally navigated the ensuing chaos. I also appreciate your reasoning as to why Helen would desire the comfort of Thomas in the days that followed. But the piece d' resistance was the recurring dream. Even when we thought she had abandoned Nikki altogether, banished her even from conscious thought, at her very core Helen still desired to comfort Nikki and, in turn, be comforted herself.

Well done.

Thanks, everyone, for your kind words. And for those of you who want a story from Nikki's POV, I highly recommend the following story:

I just read this all the way through and it was fantastic! It was nice to look into Helen's mind and imagine what she might have been thinking at the time (no matter how angry I was with her when it happened on the show). It was a refreshing change and a very enjoyable read. Good luck on your future writing endeavors :)

Just re-read this one as it has been bumped! A great idea, well executed... a few tense issues but I loved this story. I would like to see more POV fics. They are hard to write well.
