That chartreuse top they have her wearing is ghastly, but it's great to see her on telly anyway! |

.....Really? I thought she looked rather fetching, and I love that she has allowed a sprinkling of silver to show in her hair ... very dsitinguished and natural. And .... she still ROCKS my world! |

I think we're about 90% in agreement here -- it was only the chartreuse top I didn't like.

Thanks to the BBC site, I caught up with this scene. What is remarkable is how Mandana played the role of a 'rules and regulations' hospital inspector to perfection (though she softened at the end) being the exact opposite of the 'freewheeling' Nikki Wade role she is most noted for. It is a masterly performance and I'm incredibly glad she is working. It's good that hospital dramas like Casualty and Holby City continue. Inciudentally, Mandana also appeared once in Holby City. As mod, I have moved this thread partly where it belongs and partly as a blatent attempt to give this fantastic news higher profile so more posters will spot it. I'd like to thank whoopicat for picking up on this news which will be dear to everyone's hearts, not least Jayne and Sara's. |

Hello, I was thinking about Richard's post about the 'opposite' type that Mandana's 'character' played in Casualty from her portrayal of Nikki in B/G. I'll bet that we agree that she brought that 'Ice Maiden' trait to the Inspectorate character, which parallels the Inmate that Nikki was ie: not wanting her friends to visit;keeping her own Counsel etc., etc. Similarly, (in Casualty) when she realises that she cannot apply the 'model' of her brief as an Inspector, she has a fag and a think about things, and her inner voice speaks. She listens and she DOES the right thing. The 'melting point' being her observations of the Consultant chap putting his job on the line for a dying patient. Not too far away from the 'Office scene' when Helen gets it across to Nikki that not all Prison Personnel are disinterested ... What d'ya think ? |

Can do! It was 'Casualty' series 25 episode 10. Casualty is the world's longest running emergency medical drama series and is quite an institution in the UK. Besides the regular cast, practically every Brit Actor you can name has been in an episode at some stage in their career. Have scoured 'likely' places to see if Mandana 's character returns, but alas and alack no joy this side of Christmas ... unless anyone out there knows differently??? |

I've just watched this episode and thought she looked good as usual, a little bit of grey hair now, but still looking good. Does anyone know if its possible to download this on to a DVD for keeps? If so, how do I do it? Not very pc literate I'm afraid  |
