When it comes to my role playing, I usually use myself. This Story happened to me a few years ago. So here is MY Story. A few years ago, I was playing a different game. I met someone in game, only to find out we go to the same school! It was truly wonderful. We became great friends, and had a lot of fun. We never dated but we didn't need to. We did everything but use the bathroom together anyways. We shared a lot of viewpoints, enjoyed the same things. Everything was really fantastic. When it came to in game. She was my shield, I was her sword. Our time was spent helping people almost constantly. Our team, bond, and synergy were perfect. Down to the tenths of seconds we were a team to be afraid of in every aspect. I fully thought nothing could change that... unfortunately, just this one time, I was wrong. One night, we were talking on the phone. She was heading home after spending time with me at my place. As we talked we got more into it and we both realized that really, our goal isn't to win. Its just not to lose. So we Agreed that we will never willingly lose. We will exhaust all options before the thought of defeat would be an option. We talked about small things then as she was nearing the exit off the high way we started talking about our strengths specifically. We promised one another to be as strong as possible and to crush anyone who gets in front of us. Even if its total folly to get back up and try again, we must be strong for us and the people we protect. "If you are protecting someone, and you die, chances are that the person you are trying to protect most, will die the same. So if your going to protect someone, you better give it all you got because its not only your life resting in your hands." Moments after I vowed to be strong and give it my all in order to avoid not only my death but those around me. A huge noise came over the phone and the call went dead. Quite a few hours later I got a call from an officer. The phone recorded she had been talking to me at the time of incident, and he had informed me a drunk driver was speeding and hit the drivers side door. She was dead, immediately. Ever sense that day, I have taken it upon myself to live out her last wishes. I've always been strong, and I will get stronger if needed. Its what she wanted. I was her sword, and she was my shield. Now, I am a blade flying through the masses contributing to my promise. I wont allow myself to lose. I will be strong. I am the Terror of Death! |

So if your goal isnt to win but not to lose isnt that kind of contradicting ? Theres only one victor in many contests, tournaments, fights, and so forth. How do you see this ? |

Victory commonly comes from the absence of defeat, true. In the end so long I don't lose everything is fine, victory included. To adjust the wording to a contest, I don't intend to get first place from the start. On the other hand I cant allow myself to get last. If its a 1v1 event then by not allowing myself to lose is to just keep going forward until victory due to it being the only option. |
