Are More White Men Ditching Their Lovers For Black Women?![]() As the state of interracial unions becomes more prevalent in modern society, black-white relationships continue to stir deep conversations. For the most part, mainstream culture seems to have a handle on black-white unions despite the ugly chapter of slavery in the United States. For race matters to transcend into a more progressive front would be a positive for all human beings involved (yes, that means you). Of course, there has been significant response to black men dating and/or marrying white women, but, the case of white men with black women is broadening. As we progress further into our journey of a world without race-specific love, white men seem to be loving their “brown-skinned” sisters more than ever. Here is a historical preview… Arne Naess, Jr. and Diana Ross ![]() When Norweigan businessman and mountaineer Arne Naess, Jr. ventured to Bahamas on vacation, he met and married R&B icon, Diana Ross who swept him off his feet. The tycoon just ended his affair with actress Mari Maurstead before he and Diana exchanged rings in 1985. The pair had two sons before their divorce in 1999. David Bowe and Iman ![]() When British rock symbol, David Bowe was introduced to fashion model Iman, he made their union official. In 1990, the pair married in a traditional ceremony in light of Bowe’s breakup with girlfriend, Melissa Hurley the same year. The couple remains in love to this day, raising both their children in London and Manhattan. Olivier Martinez and Halle Berry ![]() It is evident that French co-star Oliver Martinez had eyes for actress Halle Berry from the start. The two actors began romancing each other while filming “Dark Tide” overseas when Martinez recently broke up with ex-girlfriend, Elza Pataky. The actor who’s known for playing the seductive lover in “Unfaithful,” proves that race is non-existent in any real love arrangement. George Lucus and Mellody Hobson ![]() In 2006, the Star Wars filmmaker took a haitus from directing to focus on his personal life. After parting ways with fiancée Linda Ronstadt, Lucas met Mellody Hodson who runs Ariel Investments, and mingles with the business elite. The director has escorted his beautiful partner to the Academy Awards and the Cannes Film Festival to name a few. Brian Gibson and Lynn Whitfield ![]() When director Brian Gibson met Lynn Whitfield during the filming of the “Josephine Baker Story,” the two became inseparable. Gibson tied the knot with the actress after divorcing his last wife, Paula Rae Gibson. For the most part, the two lived a private life until their marriage faulted in 1992. Boris Becker and Barbara Feltus-Herbst ![]() Tennis star Boris Becker is classified as Europe’s most celebrated athlete, but that hasn’t kept his name from the tabloids. It was rumored he was dating Filipino actress, Cassandra Hepburn before he wed photographer Barbara Feltus-Herbst. The media had a frenzy during the course of their relationship (which ended in divorce), but Becker has a history of dating outside his race. Niall Ferguson and Ayaan Hirsi Ali ![]() Earlier this year, it was reported that Harvard professor Niall Ferguson quit his wife, Sue Douglas, for acclaimed Somali author, Ayaan Hirsi Ali.
