Basically, we need to work out what the VN's actually gonna be coded in. I see a lot of support behind Ren'py, and it's easy enough to learn, but if someone's a programming god at something or another, feel free to speak up. Generally, though, we'll need to use whatever most people can be good at. |

If I could figure out Ren'py, it should be decent enough. You could be really hardcore (and kind of outdated >_>) and use onscripter or something, but... |

Ren'py is really easy to pick up. I made a short VN as a gift for someone, and I'm an idiot. |

Ren'py is pretty much the default choice, I think. There's really no reason to use any actual programming language if all you need is standard VN stuff - but even if you do like to be fancy, it supports python. I've also made a short VN with ren'py, and have to agree with Touphi's "really easy" above. Edit - On the other hand, though, I'd like to point out that VNDS doesn't get enough love. I for one have read seacats, tsukihime, F/SN, saya, narcissu... and probably more I'm forgetting... on my DS, and it was a hell of a lot more convenient than sitting at a PC. VNDS is also really easy to pick up, so if I could, I'd like to suggest a port (Ren'py still being the main development platform). Edited by Psi, Jan 16 2011, 09:56 AM.
