Firo Sinatra

NOMEN. Firo Sinatra (officially, he also goes by it because he was given an esoteric name(Ookami))
AEVUM. 21/June 1487(due to a temporal distortion)
NATIONIS. American (officially, over the years he's had to acquire forged documents)
HOUSE. Athens

They take any shape or form

but they usually like to have funny beards

EYE.Golden, though when not using his powers he can disguise them to appear more human, usually they're a clear blue
Height/Weight. 6'1" roughtly 160 lbs
CORPUS. Firo is pale, his skin has been called "White as the first snowfall" and he's never had a tan nor a sunburn. His porcelain skin is equally soft and his features fine and striking. His demeanor is usually calm and it's reflected perfectly in his posture as well, he's seen often walking around with his hands in his pockets. From a distance he looks contemplative or even depressed but once he's having fun or truly enjoying himself he has a bright soft smile and vibrant movements though this rarely occurs, while he certainly doesn't look like a completely different person it's worth mention: The contrast between the two is rather stark. Subtleties aside Firo is lean adding to his softer features, he has limited muscle mass as a result of going more for mental pursuits than physical somewhat contradictory to his nature, though this doesn't prevent him from enjoying the perk of not having to work out to stay in shape. Firo seems very cold and unapproachable.
APPAREL.His apparel is actually quite varied, he enjoys indulging both of his heritages, his formal wear is all traditional Japanese outfits painstakingly sewn together by the peerless seamstresses of Takamagahara. His casual wear in comparison to most actually seems pretty formal, dressing in prohibition era suits much like singer at a jazz club. Having realized how ridiculous this looks in the currant age he's opted for a compromise, wearing a vest with long sleeve white shirt. His pants are also black with a matching coat (being a sun demigod he doesn't worry about overheating during summer)

so he said MAN that bitch is CRAZY
Posted Image
and i said yes, yes she was

Brilliant Lucky Cold Morose Contradictory

VOCIS. Firo has a calm soft voice however he's inherited his father's singing ability which can only be described as the perfect jazz singer
LIKES. Singing, Games (particularly ones that challenge his intellect), Computers, Atmosphere and Thinking
DISLIKES.Fighting, non-constructive destruction(not as contradictory as it sounds), Metal (musically), saying goodbye to old friends, sentient plants
STRENGTHS. Immortality, Singing ability, Brilliance, hawklike eyes and good looks
WEAKNESSES. As a demigod he's bound by his word, The moon (as a sun good he can't directly harm a moon god/goddess) Lack of Control over powers, evil (he's duty bound to stop evil and must put things aside to do that), too much noise (this is between and weakness and a dislike, still too much noise makes him have to work harder to concentrate which can be somewhat debilitating for an intellectual character) I guess being noticeably not human counts (when he uses powers)
ANIMUS. Firo has been around for quite some time, a few hundred years and that's affected him to be sure but only in subtle ways, he's never really dedicated himself to a cause for longer than a year and a day because by then he's either figured it out or discovered its impossibility. As such once he's determined something is impossible it usually requires proof to convince him otherwise, though usually that's something he can work out himself (I can solve X if Y existed, then Z years later someone finds Y, he's not stupid showing him Y will confirm X (assuming he didn't create Y himself)). During his early life he tried to live up to his nature as a sun god being outgoing and direct but he wasn't very good at it, he preferred spending time by himself and thinking his way out of problems rather than directly fighting them. This turned out to be a good choice he learned pretty quickly that exerting any powers as a sun god was a bad idea; they were way too powerful for him to control. He learned that for large scale battles he was a good strategist but he himself was only a competent fighter. It took him some time to discover his voice probably due to the fact that by the time he met his father, he was way older than him. He had learned to sing well before then and had always been quite good at it but it's really when the jazz era came around that found what he was meant to sing. Having had so much time he rarely ponders immutable things concerning himself (like mortality, even immortals have an ending somewhere) so most of his thoughts are focused on recent changes but more often vague nebulous concepts that have little to no bearing on the current situation. If asked what he's thinking the answer will likely not make much sense. After years of wandering he enrolled at the academy because he knows someday there will be a problem he can't think his way out of, that the only solution will be brute force and he's making sure he's prepared when that day comes. While he's not open he's not unfriendly though he will refuse to do work he considers beneath him, anything that he feels doesn't challenge him mentally will likely be ignored unless it requires a minimal effort on his part (he'd solve a simple math problem because it would just require him to write the answer down). He does have a natural curiosity but he's abandoned quite a few adventures because they became boring. Talking about his mother is a touchy subject as the 2 haven't talked in years, not for any big falling out but he just feels that he doesn't live up to his legacy. While he doesn't put much too much work into being good at combat, he's quite capable, that's more from having been around for over 500 years than actually applying himself to the art, though from his travels he's picked up but not mastered other fighting styles. When in combat he tends to draw a kodachi to block weapon attacks and uses kenpo for an offense (like Aoshi from rurouni kenshin) though if the situation calls for it, he changes his tactics. While this makes him battle competent he hasn't developed any enhanced strength so far limiting his combat usefulness against in comparison to most of house Sparta.

AMOR. Moon goddesses are his primary interest, though through out the years he's had a few paramours and he also likes fae and spirits, he's had mortals among his paramours but they have to be exceptional to catch his interest, especially since they have such short lifespans

the apple fell off the tree

but where the hell did it land?

PARENTIS. His mother is Amaterasu the Japanese sun goddess and his father is famed jazz singer Frank Sinatra who was also a time traveling man of action, not really of course, the man time traveled once by pure accident but those who know of the even jokingly say that sort of thing
CRUOR. None that he associates with or that know about him on the mortal side. Divine parentage leads to a large extended family that doesn't associate with more that necessary.

HISTORY. Having spent most of his early life in the isolationist country of Japan didn't bore him quickly, time were always interesting and next big change seemed always around the corner. He found the social and political turbulence of Japan's Sengoku period most intriguing. He hadn't been given any duties at the time and was able to used this as a learning period. As soon as stability set in he began some of his lengthier pondering. As much as he enjoyed the turbulent time he was born into he regretted not being born into earlier times where he could see more of the whole of history. He was gifted with time, shortly thereafter the Tokugawa took control and while times were still interesting they were much less turbulent and he had time to study. It didn't take long for him complete his studies and he was soon looking for the next thing to do. It was at about this time that he was given his first official divine duty, he knew it was nothing more than a simple test but he agreed to the challenge. He was tasked with shaping a young noble into a powerful general which he dutifully acting as an adviser for decades. Times didn't get interesting again until the onset of the Meiji period, Firo left to help the revolutionary forces and partially due to his efforts they succeeded and ushered in a new era. This didn't sit particularly well with his mother, she felt that it wasn't his duty to make such decisions or affect things in such grand ways. This admonishment did not last long, he was given his next duty, hunting down mortals in possession of divine artifacts and confiscate them, as such artifacts were dangerous. He was only able to perform this duty for a little while before Japan's new contact with the rest of the world held his interest. He left Japan one day to see the world and learn new things. His duty to confiscate artifacts did not leave him, he knew how dangerous they were and took them wherever he found them, whether or not they belonged to Japan. While Amaterasu found this disappointing she did not revoke his place in Takamagahara.

He spent few years in each country moving from place to place learning all he could. It's when he got to Europe where things got interesting, he was forced to ignore the wondrous combinations of culture for dark prophecies foretelling distant events. This was the first taste of his end and dwelt on it much longer than is probably healthy. He was brought out of it when he was in America and prohibition set on, he was drawn to the culture for obvious reasons. In recent years he's decided that he really does need to work on better controlling his power, he'd need it to face down whatever might come in the future, he's also resolved to start a panoply and create his own divine weapon. For several years he was having trouble with both, tracing his problems back the fact that he's only half god but when he heard about the Olympus Academy he signed up and had no trouble getting in. He had no trouble getting accepted into house Athens and works diligently to improve the academy when he wasn't working on his own problems. His current life is strained, even with guidance the massive powers of a sun god are nearly beyond control and constructing a divine instrument is difficult make, gods put a considerable amount of power and thought into making theirs and he's not willing to take any alternate routes. He's confiscated many weapons made by thaumaturgists powerful enough to be called divine weapons because of all the human souls used to create them, such measures are draconian at bast and only someone truly psychotic would consider it, though this hasn't stopped him from considering alternatives, perhaps nuclear power would be sufficient to create such a weapon! Again it's not an avenue he's willing to go down, the divine instrument won't truly be his unless it's created from himself but that might be an interesting way to get followers with powerful weapons, assuming they could control their hubris. Lastly he's been estranged from his pantheon for quite some time, he knows someday he'll have to return someday but it's not any time soon, or so he'd like to think; given his current difficulties he may have to send them a message asking for guidance and he's loathe to do so.

POWERS./WEAPONS
Great Blaz: Channeling his divine nature as a demigod of the sun he conjures up brilliant golden flames. These pure flames are beautiful but all consuming. Having no control over it, Firo would never use this power since along with his enemies it would destroy anyone he's protecting and any nearby scenery.

Unaging: While he's still mortal enough to be killed he doesn't age or does so at such a slow rate it's negligible.

The Winged Spear of Perseus(free for the beta period): A reproduction of the Athen House's leader's beautiful weapon, the Winged Spear is magically enchanted with to deliver a small jolt of electricity when the arrow head tip meets a surface. The spear of Perseus was designed by Athena, and it was engineered to complete perfection, the wings that curve from the metal tip allows the spear to gain greater speed and distance when thrown. It is light and easy to carry.
Item Cost: Free Gift for the Beta Testers in the House of Athens.

so now that we're done

Hello and Welcome to our forum! Lets get down to business :P

First of all, your character's history is blank. I realized that you have touched upon this character's history in the personality section, but if everyone did that there really isn't much of a point having the history section would there? I personally often have parts of my character's history in the personality also, just as justifications or explanations for my character's behaviors.

Second. Even if I was to give your an immortality power, I want to know exactly why he's tough to kill. If he's not a fighter, is it because of some special bubble shield he has? Or is it because he eats kittens to have titanium skin. What's keeping the other students with giant spears or fireballs from killing this guy? ALSO, I have yet to set up the death rule on the forum. If character's die, they don't actually die, they just go to the underworld to be picked out again. So keep that in consideration.

Thirdly. Check the application to see if you accidentally broke one of the codes, because it's not supposed to be centered like that.

Take your time and fill this out. This is where the final version/best version of the application is supposed to go.

Good luck, and thank you for choosing to join our community! :)

I've touched it up quite a bit, I couldn't fix the strange centering and I looking into it, I had previously copied the template so I'm not sure what's wrong

Edit: Yang helped me fix the centering problem, and I thought maybe I should expand on some of the changes, most of them were for sense reasons as a fleshed out the idea, as for the power I put down, I know it's a bit much and yes I did think about it, my character is about restraint in many ways. I feel that I should put in an entry for just how powerful it is: When I purchase control for it, I intend to spend 20 fate points on it maybe more for just how powerful it is, moreover with this much power not only does he restrain himself from using it, he can't train with it unless he's training with a god who won't die horribly to it and he's absolutely banned from using it on campus without permission from Ares

There are a still grammar mistakes here and there but I'm not going to be too picky on them.

Here are my last/major concerns about Firo.

- It says that he's immortal. So he can be timeless and die from age, but can he be killed from combat? Knife through chest type of thing?

- He's actually not a prefect yet because our school JUST opened in character wise, so he is definitely welcomed by the Olympians gods since he is a demigod himself, but he'll just be an upperclassman.

That works for me, I was going to get into the dynamic of him being in another pantheon's domain as I was getting started, the keyword is apprehensive

As for immortal, that's how it works now, I was planning on implementing a system were he'd come back from being killed but it was somewhat complicated, where if he'd die his mortal body and lower soul (2 souls is an eastern thing I'm quite fond of) would die but his divine shard (yeah that sounds like a good name for it) would survive but he'd have to have a new body made for him. Like I said that seemed complicated and I'm sure you're going to have something to say about so I'll work out problems with this and buy it later

ok I've adjusted the sheet by adding unaging to powers and taking out the prefect part.
