Welcome to The Last Resort Beach, here we have a nice humid day on a beach with a mid-length tide for your local swimmers. We have handed out towels and umbrellas to other visitors, so expect to see open umbrellas laying about the beach and towels flat on the sand. Our beach is wide-spread and you are sure to have plenty of space to move around on, with a few patches of grass. Just be sure to respect your fellow visitors, common courtesy.

[Caution: Blazing sun makes it hard to cool off unless you have any means of shade. Also, sand on beach may be too hot to stand on bare-foot. Take note that the ocean water may offer slight cooling, and swimming boundaries are non-existent.] (Resort Modo:"Life's a Beach.")
---

Ahh, the sun, the sea, and a battle. Who cares why or how, it’s their and take it! So, we start this battle off with unknown reasons, all that matters is that there is a fight, and someone’s about to get hurt.

Len took his usual stance, feet apart, both hands on the spear with his right leading the left. Don’t really know why… but here goes. “Sorry stranger…” he mumbled, dashing forward all the same. When he within range, Len swung Konpaku Kayou horizontally, hoping to slash the opponent across the mid section.

(Got a bit lazy in the beginning, it’ll pick up…)

How dare he?!? This man had protected one of the little leprechauns John had tried to capture on this beach that seemed to be a nesting ground for them. There were the usual screams of "What are you doing to the children!" But they were easily ignored until this ..... Man took a swing at him with his spear!

"You punk! Are you trying to keep me from my treasure?!!?" John screamed as he jumped back out of reach of the spearhead. He picked up one of the more aerodynamic leprechauns/children and threw him as hard as he could at the unknown man.

“What the-” Len exclaimed, after quickly spinning out of the way of the fallen child, luckily, the blades of Konpaku didn’t slice the kid up. Sand shot up underneath the kid as he fell into the sand, in a mass of confusion, tears and sand in the pants. Len considered using hostages or innocents as a despicable act, but kids?! Someone is about to get a whooping…

“What the hell was that, are you an idiot?!” Len shouted at his adversary. It wasn’t long before the crowd turned their heads, and saw Len facing off against his opponent, each of them wielding a malicious weapon. The people hesitantly stepped back, giving the two fighters some room to maneuver and act, no one really wanted to get pronged by a spear anyway.

Without waiting for an answer from the his evil, heartless and slightly mad opponent, Len charged again, this time using his spear to give several smaller, yet quicker jabs, straight at his opponent’s torso.

"YES!!!!!!" John screamed in response to the question by the spear wielding maniac. As the first thrusts began to come at him john dropped down to the ground and reached up and grabbed the shaft when the head was thrust forward. He was jerked around as the spear was thrust forward and back again but held on reaching his other hand up to join his other hand and give him a better grip.

“WHAT!?” Len said, in response to John’s answer. “AND GET OFF MY SPEAR” He demanded, after John had grabbed onto it, avoiding the jabs. Oh that’s it… no one touches the spear he thought, and decided to make John pay for this mistake. He jumped of the ground, unaware if John was still holding on or not, but either way, he was about to be a world of hurt. He died a vertical flip with his spear out, slashing completely around him. If John was on the spear, he’d be thrown off, and dizzy as hell. If not… then he was about to have a taste of cold steel, “Full Note!”

As soon as John realized that the man was jumping he let go of the spear and fell to the ground with a loud "Umph!" but was able to keep aware of his surroundings he saw the man up in the air with his spear fully extended he rolled away hoping that the man would not be able to see and adjust the angle of his weapon.

The spear came within inches of John and even made his clothes rustle a bit in the passing wind of the attack and blew a gust of sand towards him. John's eyes began to water as the particles entered his eyes and he quickly grabbed his grappling chain from where it had been hanging at his belt. Being unable to see clearly he threw it up to the right of where he had last seen the man and then jerked it whipping the grappling hook end that he had thrown towards the space the man had occupiedhoping to at least catch the man's long and bulky spear.

At least the annoying bug was off his spear, that’s something positive right? Well, as he came down, he felt something fly out, what the hell was that?! He thought, as he felt a sudden wind blow by his ear. Then, his weapon started feeling heavier, as if it was being pulled. When he laded softly on the sand, his first instinct was to pull his weapon in closer, and good thing for that too, otherwise he might’ve lost it!

Unable to free his spear from the hook, Len did a few twirls with the weapon, brining him closer and closer to his opponent and getting entangle further and further. Either this was a really good idea, or a dumb one, either way, when he was finished; he stood not far from his opponent, holding his spear firmly with both hands.

As he felt his grappling hook wrap around something thin and lock on to one of the links in the chain after wrapping around tightly a few times John pulled and began moving towards where the chain was stuck by pulling hand over hand until he was standing next to the spear and the sand began to clear.

He then saw that he was about seven feet from the man who had attacked him and about two and a half feet of his chain was wrapped around the haft of the spear. However he was also able to see that the beach was completely empty. All of his leprechaun's had been stolen in the sand-screen!

"You *Expletive*! You cost me my gold!!! You have to pay for that! John screamed while aligning his chain so it would be behind him.

“What the hell are you talking about?!” Len exclaimed, a bit shocked by John’s abnormal comment. He felt a slight tug on the spear, as he noticed John grab the other end … great and chuck it at him. At the same time, Len ducked and leaned forward, swerving to the side slightly to dodge the spear. Luckily, the spear only had one blade, unlike his, so he was able to dodge the attack. With the spear end behind him, Len turned his own spear again, catching the second end of the chain and wrapping it along with it.

Now this was a situation, two ends of the chain were wrapped around Konpaku, it would be a full struggle of might against this John guy to see who would get their weapon free. Well, it should’ve been a struggle of might, had Len not decided to rush forward, hoping to push John back, and away from the weapon. Twisting Konpaku Kayou once more, Len held it horizontally across from him, and rushed forward, trying to hit john in the stomach with the force of the run.

John was jostled as the man suddenly jerked his spear around and his chain was caught on the spear end and the wrapped around thee butt of the spear. In the same motion the man rushed forward and tried to push John over however since he was already off ballance and had a deathgrip on his chain with his left hand he was able to slide along the sand and swing under the haft of the spear and towards the man's feet.

John’s slip and slide maneuver was quite unexpected. If Len had been traveling at a faster pace, or if John was wearing steel toed boots, perhaps it could’ve done some damage, but alas no. John’s foot hit Len’s, and caused Len to trip forward, but land quite softly in the sand. If the attack did anything, it saved John from being tackled, but then again, now he was on the floor, and that was part of the plan.

Quickly recovering from his fall, Len propped himself up on one knee, grabbed his spear, and began jabbing forcefully at John’s body. John was bound to a certain degree of area with Len, (spear and chain are wrapped together…) so, it was only a matter of time before the spear took blood, so why not now?

John was just getting to his feet when he felt his arm begin jerking and the spearhead started flying at him at an alarming rate. He was able to dodge the first strike but the second caught him in the lower abdomin but was quickly removed and came at him again. However John quickly thrust his arm up and yelled.

Chain Shield!

And began turning turning his whole body to begin his move instead of spinning his chain around his head like he would normally do.

@#&*% Len thought, when he saw John’s reaction to his stab series. With a twist, turn and swoop, John began swirling around, like the eye of the tornado. Wait a minute… of John is holding his chain, and the chain is wrapped around the spear, and Len is holding the spear… one second, I can figure this out (carry the one, divide by 3…) @#&*%!

When he realized what was coming, Len quickly pulled the spear to his chest, holding it as tightly as possible. He wrapped his arms around it, and quickly threw his legs up to clinch on, holding on at the lower part of the spear, where the chain was wrapped around. I’m gonna throw up after this… he thought, closing his eyes and going along for the ride.

John continued his spinning and began to stagger a little bit but kept his grip on the chain and man.

Len held on even tighter. What is this, a hurl-o-matic? No matter, it was hold on or be thrown off. Besides, No matter how dizzy or strained he was, John had to feeling it more. That little loss of blood from the cut can add up with rapid activity, and Len’s body couldn’t have been easy to lift. This is a battle of who can hold their lunch for longer.
