The Magical Monk of Yore: A Revolutionary

Alaster looked around and saw their marksmen being irritated on top of a building. He grinned and called out, "About time, now quickly we need to proceed. I highly suggest you follow us along. It would be rather depressing if you didn't." He turned away as though he made an order that couldn't be defied. He cracked his knuckles inside his gauntlet and turned to their swordsman, whose name was apparently Seto, "Apparently, there is a group of possible pirates or bandits that are attempting to control this islands economy. And by the actions of mostly our captain, we have apparently angered them to a point where they feel it necessary to eliminate us. Apparently we're a threat or something...moving on. They have a good amount of cannon fodder for us to plow through, but they also have some higher ups that can probably put up a decent fight. Those are the one who will most likely be the problem." Alaster cracked his neck and kept glaring forward. He had a strange amount of excitement building up in him. It's been a long time since he felt the adrenaline of combat slowly begin building up in him. It was going to be a good day. A magical day full of someone else's pain and agony as their dreams go down the drain. Alaster sighed happily. |

Seto was knocked out of the way of the bullet, when Axcel hit him to the ground with his bag of people. "Ugh, bloody hell. I really wanted that bullet to hit. That idiot has some dumbass luck." A few seconds later Seto yelled, "Gagh! I'll deal with you later, kuso-kid!" Skye's only reply was "Suck it!" Normally he wouldn't act so outwardly but for some reason he just hated the swordsman, more like a rivalry type hate. Seto proceeded to yell, and Skye tuned him out. "Idiot...." Alaster's voice came through this time. "About time, now quickly we need to proceed. I highly suggest you follow us along. It would be rather depressing if you didn't." Jumping off the roof he landed next to them in time to listen to Alaster's explanation of what was going on. "Okay, So basically what he's saying is that there is a group of people that are trying to ruin the islands economy, our captain fucked with them, and now they think we need to be killed. We have to go through people till we get to someone who can actually fight on our level. Sounds fun. This will make up for not hitting Seto." Skye thought. He looked over all his crew mates. Alaster seemed to be happy at the fact he's getting to beat someone down. Seto appeared to be irritated, as usual. And Axcel looked like....Axcel. Everyone started to head down to who the hell knows, and Skye just followed. |

As Axcel walked he felt the bottom side of a shoe against the back of his head before being sent to the ground. Axcel’s body met with the pavement with the bag falling on top of him. Not to Axcel’s attention, the cook/swordsman, Seto had been yelling at Axcel about watching where he was going. Every word he had said did not make it to Axcel’s ears. Since the bag of people fell on top of Axcel, he had been squirming underneath attempting to get out. “Ahh! Help! I’m suffocating! My lungs are collapsing! I’m going to dieeeee! I’m too young to dieee!” Axcel shouted, over exaggerating the situation. Seconds later he manage to break free rather simply, which kind of made the whole situation awkward since he was screaming for help and all the townsfolk were staring at him and his crew. “OI!” Axcel shouted at Seto at the top of his lungs. “What the hell are you doing shitty swordsman!” Axcel yelled, calling him a shitty swordsman since his name had slipped his mind. Clearly he was irritated with the swordsman, and the men in the bag would have been able to escape during this time if they weren’t unfortunately knocked out. |

Seto seemed to stiffen as his Captain rose from the floor. His grin was wiped away by an expression of irritation, "Shitty-what?" Slowly, Seto turned about to face the kuso-taichou, his gaze hooded. Now the captain was flinging these damn insults at him! It was beginning to get on his nerves, and he gave an irritated sigh, "And what were you doing!? You were the one, after all, who had decided to randomly hit me with that huge...Thing!" Another almost hesitant sigh from the swordsman-cook seemed to relieve most of the tension that had built up, "Shouldn't we be going?" Seto began to move in the direction that the others had been going, not wishing to dwell on the subject. Moments passed before Seto spoke again, "We still don't know each others names." His next word were simply drenched in sarcasm, "Apparently I'm 'kuso-swordsman'." Seto's right hand moved down towards Seidaku and Onshuu, making sure they were there simply through habit. He would really rather not die here because of a lack of his swords. He still had things to do in life, foremost of which was to end his father and brother's lives in a flow of crimson over the cold steel of his own blade. Perhaps it didn't quite have to go that far, however, Seto knew his father and brother wouldn't give up, especially to him, unless it was forced in such a way. |

...This walk was taking too long, it was time to pass...the time Alaster supposed. He sped up his pace to get in front of the group. He cleared his throat and said, "Alright. I suppose we should finally get around to introducing ourselves. My name is...Alaster, let's leave my last name out of this for now. I have been trained in basic combat, intensively trained in chemistry, and I know basic first aid. My past career...was strenuous. My parents...I never knew my father, and never desired to know him. As for my mother, I wish I had never met her. I hope the old hag dies of some painful disease." Alaster thought deeper about what else he would say. After a few moments he continued, "Hmmm... well, some side notes should be... I am technically wanted by the government right now, though I don't have a bounty. I am supposed to be dead by their standards I suppose... What else...? Err... The good news is that I have enough knowledge to make up for our captain's lack of it. I also apparently have more logical ability and the practicality to use common sense... Well, that's it for me, who's turn is it next?" |

"I guess I should probably say something." Skye made his way up ahead and turned around so that he was facing his crew. "The name is Skye. As it turns out Alaster and I have something in common. My mother was an abusive drunk and I hope the hell that she has given me is put back onto her tenfold. My father I never knew. I've been living on the streets since 13. I'm 16 now. I had to steal to survive. Somewhere down the line I picked up a gun and became a decent marksman. And oddly if I get drunk I become very smart. But the after effects of a hangover prove to me that being a drunk genius isn't all that worth it." Skye didn't really know why he was telling this much about himself. Maybe he felt like he was actually beginning to trust these people, even though he had only met them yesterday. "Also, I like vodka in case you haven''t noticed. I get very testy if I don't have any for a while. I think I get that from my mom's side. And cigarette's are a bit of a bad habit for me too. I'm not the healthiest kid, but whatever. I guess that's it about me." Skye said beginning to turn around. |

Axcel seemed to be interested in the conversation about everyone’s name and past. There was the shitty swordsman, Seto, who was apparently a cook. Then there was his first mate, Alaster no-last-name. Who was apparently skilled in many things, and was already wanted by the government. Well sort of, but that made him a better pirate all ready. The marksman introduced himself next, Skye, a vodka drinking-cigarette smoking-mother hating-emotional kid. As they walked along it had finally been Axcel’s turn. He dropped the bag on the hard ground, not caring for the people inside. He slowly turned around and faced his crew. He took a deep breath as if he was going to make one very long speech about who he was, his past, and his goals. As he exhaled he pointed his thumb at himself. “My name is Axcel and damnit I like strawberry sundaes!” He quickly turned back around as people stared at them from their windows in nearby buildings. Axcel then picked up the bag and threw it over his shoulders and paused for a few moments. There was definitely a lot more to Axcel then what he had said, but he didn’t really have anything on his mind besides beating those lemon pirates to a bloody pulp. What an epic speech that was. |

Seto listened quite intently to each of his newfound crewmate's. Knowing them was important if they were to become a crew. At least, that's the way Seto felt. Obviously, their captain didn't feel that way. He was rather disappointed in how much Axcel had revealed, but at least they knew each other's names, now. I suppose it's my turn, now... Seto thought as the group continued their stride towards wherever-they-were-going. After a deep sigh, Seto began to talk. He didn't stop in front of his crewmates, he didn't draw attention to himself. Hell, he didn't even look at them. He simply stared ahead as he spoke, "Seto. Konoe Seto. I was born in East Blue...Far from here. My Mother died of illness when I was only three, and after that...My father took over. He looked up to Axe-Hand Morgan, who was the cruel, authority-loving leader of Shell Town, my hometown. He was removed from his position, as he abused his power, but that's the way my Father wanted to be, and that's the way it was. After she died...Every day we went through training, we being my brother and I...He looked up to Dad. The training was worse than what the Marines did, it was pretty bad, but you got used to it...I guess. I'd rather not go into details, but I refused to hurt either my father or brother, even when my father had us fight. He eventually kicked me out, and I survived on my own...I got here a while back, multiple years, actually, by traveling with pirates. From there on...I studied at Karate Island, and now...Well, I'm here." Seto's gaze did not once drift form its adamant stare ahead, did not once look towards his crew members. He gave another sigh and began to increase his pace, before turning around iwth a grin, "I suppose we have to kick ass, now?" |

A normal person would probably have liked the fact that someone was around them that shared the same problems, but Alaster didn't really give a damn about whatever Skye had to go through, "Hopefully that's the only thing we have in common, it would be rather boring if we were more similar than that. It would take all the fun out of our relationship." As Alaster expected, his captain's intro was ridiculous. It was a total waste of time. The only thing that was new was the fact he said his name for the first time. The other information was totally obvious. Alaster winced, "Well, that was uninformative. I didn't really expect you to say any important or intelligent. Moving on." He wasn't really paying attention to Skye's information. He decided it wasn't really important, since he didn't think he had anything that would be remotely interesting or entertaining. Alaster did pick up on the comment about when they were going to fight. Alaster snickered and said, "Don't worry, they'll be coming soon. After the show we gave their little minions a beating, they'll be running back to whine to their masters. And their bosses can't just let us be after embarrassing them like that. So don't worry, the brawl will begin soon enough." |

After saying what he needed Skye began to tune everyone out. He it's not that he didn't care what other people had to say, it's just that he didn't care right now. He started to get lost in his own thoughts. Then a he accidentally bumped into a kid. Quickly the kid apologized as did Skye. "Wait this seems vaguely familiar..." Skye tried reaching in his pocket for his vodka only to find it wasn't there. "Awww hell nah!" Skye took off running in the direction of the kid. "Be right back." He told the rest of the crew. Skye had saw the kid run down an alley, he swiftly chased after him. "That kid could have taken my cigarettes or my (Seto's) money, but he had to take my vodka. Now he will pay." Upon reaching the alley he found it was a dead end. The kid was hiding in one of the barrels, the walls were to high to climb without Skye noticing. "Where are you kid? I want my vodka." He walked over to a barrel and heard the kid breathing heavily. He kicked the barrel over and watched the kid fall out. Walking up to him and crouching down he pimp slapped the kid. "YOU DO NOT TOUCH MY VODKA!" With that he left to rejoin his crew. |

Axcel began paying attention when Seto began speaking about his past. It seems his father was a marine just like Axcel’s was. Though, the two of their fathers were very different. Axcel’s may have seemed abusive to another person but he was indirectly teaching him and disciplining him. Where as Seto’s was just abusive. Then he mentioned Karate Island. “Karate Island?!” Axcel turned around with his eyes widened, “That’s where I was born and lived until a few days ago! I wonder why I’ve never seen you before…I knew most of the townsfolk there…” Axcel said as he began to get a sly grin on his face while scratching his chin. “Then again…I heard one of the dojos about taking in a shitty swordsman. Hehehe” Axcel said sarcastically while trying to hold his laughter in. Then Skye began to leave to chase some kid who had bumped into him, though Axcel didn’t understand the reason, he waited for his return before moving on. He dropped the bag on the ground and squatted down, resting until Skye came back. As soon as he returned, Axcel jumped to his feet and began walking along the road. They were nearing the edge of the town and abandoned warehouses began to appear in the horizon. They must be there. |

Seto gave Alaster a little nod as he responded to his latest question, though he had a feeling the man hadn't payed attention to whatever else he may have said about himself. Skye disappeared into the distance behind them, chasing after a little kid. Seto burst out in a small fit of laughter, "Looks like our resident marksman got his vodka stolen." Seto realized this, having noticed the high-quality vodka was gone. It was a typical way to steal stuff, to act as if bumping into someone was an accident, when in reality something in their possession had been stolen. Seto turned slowly as he heard Axcel speak about Karate Island, his gaze hooded in irritation. Once again, Axcel found himself with his face into the ground by Seto's foot, "Oi! Kuso-Taichou!" With that, he stormed off a bit ahead, getting a nice view of the warehouses ahead. When he stopped, he turned to wait for the other three, as he had gone off just a bit ahead. Pushing his weight to his right side, he raised his left hand, making a fist save for the thumb pointing back at the warehouses with his right resting on his sheaths, "That where they are?" The warehouses themselves looked abandon, and weather worn. Their glass windows were shattered, and the grass around them was anything but green. Some of the wood planks seemed to be coming off of the warehouses. |

"Where are they? Isn't it obvious? They're inside, waiting for us...that or ready to come out and search for us. But in this case, the direct method may be a better option. Now then, there is no point in me asking who is going to bust that door open...because I will take that duty upon myself. Now then, we just have to wait a moment..." Alaster slowly approached the door and put his ear to it to check if he heard a noise. It was dead quiet in the warehouse, which would generally be a bad sign. But in this case, Alaster had to just go for it. There would be no hope for him if he played this incorrectly. He adjusted his Claw correctly on his arm. He looked back at his comrades and said, "Well then, it's now or never. Just hope they aren't all equipped with rifles. Skye right? If they start firing take cover and start giving us some cover fire. This could be the most dangerous part of the entire operation." Alaster pulled his arm back and slammed the base of his gauntlet into the door, causing them to burst open. With a mighty roar he yelled, "Make way you cowards! Daddy's home!" |

They came upon an empty warehouse. Abandoned warehouses only looked familiar to Skye because he had to sometimes sleep in things like it. Windows were broken, didn't look any bit sanitary, and most likely infested with rats. Now they were at one to fight. Skye didn't know why they were fighting nor did he care. No one said he had to fight, but for some reason he wanted to. Maybe it was time to spill a some blood for the hell of it. Alaster had given orders that if they had rifles, to take cover and shoot them. "Whatever." Skye replied simply. Alaster busted down the door and yelled one of the lamest things he's ever heard. Ignoring Alaster's lame battle cry, he brought his rifle up to his eye as to take aim. From the looks of it not many people were in there, but who knows they could have had more people in the back. The ones that were there had various items meant for harm. Some had chains, others bats, and a few atop the second floor had rifles. Skye quickly pointed his rifle their way. He aimed it towards a man's eye and took a shot. Before the man could pull his trigger, he fell to the floor. Skye knew he wasn't gonna get through all of the rifleman before they shot their own guns. He only prayed that his crew knew how to dodge bullets well. Readjusting his gun he to aim for another mans heel. Taking the shot the man fell backwards dropping his gun and screaming in pain. Bullets from the enemy started to rain down upon him. It seemed there were only about six rifleman. Skye quickly took cover and started his own fury of bullets. |

Axcel’s face didn’t meet the ground this time when Seto had kicked him. He let the bodies in the bag he had been carrying absorb most of it, which would make sure they were unconscious still. Alaster, Seto, and Skye had walked into the warehouse. Axcel wanted to take a different entrance though. When it seemed like he was behind the three of his crewmates, he was instead going a different direction. He hopped on some of the crates and then jumped his way to the roof of the warehouse. As he walked around the roof he spotted what he had been looking for. Several windows were on the ceiling, some warehouses we’re built like this so the sun could get in, and that is exactly what Axcel had thought. He pressed his face against the window looking down at the ‘enemies’. Axcel had a wide grin on his face as he stood up and swung the bag around him. “My, my, look at what we got here! I smell a bunch of lemons! The ossan back at home will definitely be happy when I bring him back all these lemons!” Axcel shouted, but his voice was faint due to the windows between him and everyone inside the warehouse. The bag he had been slowly spinning around with both hands had been untied began picking up speed. He swung it down on the windows, shattering it and causing a pile of crates to break with dust flying in the air everywhere. “Don’t waste our time with your shitty peons.” Axcel said in a firm voice as he leapt from above into the warehouse, this time his voice was much clearer now that he had shattered the windows and gained everyone’s attention. He landed on top of one of the fat thug’s belly causing him to bounce off and onto the hard floor. Axcel’s method behind this was that they could easily take on all the pirates excluding their four leaders, and he hoped to skip those weak ones. Alaster would most likely be the only one to see his true intentions, where as everyone else will just think he’s a raging idiot. |
