Aito found himself sitting on the beach, arm's resting on slightly lifted knees. He bent forward a bit as the sun began to set, giving off an array of colors which reflected in an almost eerie light off of the surface of the ocean water. The "Hard Rock Hunters", whom he had only just met up with, were disbanded...Temporarily.

The apparent leader, Devlin, was vague about everything. It made Aito wonder, and he tended to dwell on situations like that. He had only just met them, and then he said he had to leave them because he had something he needed to do. It seemed personal, so Aito didn't question further.

It hadn't been long after he'd met with them, actually. He was only just getting used to them, only just able to even look them in the face. Since their captain left, everyone disbanded, leaving only two. Aito and Kenshi.

Aito gave a bit of a sigh, he thought he had finally found a place to be, a place to fit in. Now, though, everything fell apart. It was just so odd, right after he had joined, this happened. He could only find a feasible explanation in blaming himself. Weather or not that was true, Aito didn't know, and wouldn't know for some time. It gave him a bit of rest in having an explanation, though the rest was a bit counteracted by the thought of it being his fault.

Kenshi was nearby, Aito knew. He hoped to at least travel with someone else, and Kenshi was his last hope. Though his shy nature prevented him from acting on that hope, and so he now found himself, staring almost depressedly into the ocean. Though it was hard for Aito himself to be really depressed, he was never a very optimistic one, either.

Most of that newfound hope he had only just achieve was lost...

Kenshi was left there on Ikimo island. He didn't want to go home and depend on his mother, he wanted to go out into the world and do what he wants. He was left behind by the others but he watched the sunset from a distance, with Aito in sight. Kenshi was shy so he didn't plan on going up to Aito. He watched the sunset and thought of all possibilities.

If he went by himself he wouldn't have enough money for a ship right now and wouldn't stand much chance against a crew of pirates. Having Aito as a companion fixed this problem. If they worked together then they would have more of a chance. Not to mention Kenshi felt bad for Aito because they split up as soon as he joined.

Maybe I should go up to him and say something. This really is Devlin's fault. He always does this to us. He looks like he's had it rough though. Kenshi was referring to Aito, so he decided to gather up some courage and go and say something to Aito.

"Hey......" Kenshi walked up behind Aito. "I know you just joined and we all split up, the captain does this a lot. He always comes back, though. So don't worry. Until then, what do you say we partner up and collect bounties by ourselves? I'm sure we'd make a great team. I understand if you don't want to since we just met. But we could get our own ship with the money we have and go on by ourselves. I'm sure the captain will find us one way or another. But it's still your choice."

Kenshi had started to get lost in the sky. It looked beautiful with all the mix of colors t sunset. It was one of his favorite things to watch. He awaited for a response from who he hopes is his future partner.

Aito was startled at first as a voice was directed at him from behind. Kenshi. The moment his eyes dilated from the surprise was the moment the reverted the normal, and Aito turned around, mustering up enough courage to actually look at Kenshi. ((Gasp.))

He gave a kiddish little grin as he raised his right hand to scratch the back of his head, just under his large-brimmed hat, "U-um...That sounds g-great." He responded simply. It wasn't that he didn't want to talk with Kenshi, just that he was never good at talking, "Yeah..I-I was scared I'd have to travel alone again...I hate being alone..." His grin was wiped off his face as he spoke his last statement, the situation turning a bit serious.

Not wanting to worry Kenshi or anything, the grin returned almost as quick as it went, as Aito stood and dusted himself off. With his right hand, he gripped the brim of his hat with his index and middle fingers, with his thumb below them. Lifting his hat, he shook his head as to make his silver hair clear out of his face. It would be odd for Kenshi to travel with someone who he didn't really know what they looked like.

His face was very childish for his age, the reason he always hid it. He extended his left hand as to shake, in an attempt to be outgoing...Again. It failed as he hesitated a bit, and stuttered as he spoke, "T-team..."

Kenshi smiled. He sensed Aito being so nervous. He wished he wasn't so uptight. Devlin had broke Kenshi away from that and now he could do it for Aito. Or at least try. Kenshi smacked Aito's hand as hard as he could while still managing to shake it.

"Don't be so uptight! It doesn't get you anywhere." Kenshi couldn't keep from grinning. But where would their journey go from there. "Hey, I think we should get a ship first. let's go get one from the shipyard before we can't get any more ships."

"A-alright...sorry..." Aito turned from Kenshi, to stare out into the Ocean and the now fading sunset. His hands stuffed in his pants pockets, he waited for a moment before speaking, "Yeah. I've got a bit of money we could use." His voice was a bit more confident, free of his usual stutters and lags. His long-brimmed hat was safely attached to his belt, hanging a bit on his right side. Kenshi would hear the words facing a wall of silver hair which molded around the back of the sixteen-year-old's head.

Finally, as the sun was enveloped by the horizon, Aito turned back towards Kenshi, gave a nod, and turned. The town was small, and they were on the outskirts of it, so it was easy to see where the shipyard was. He took off that way, hands still within the black pockets, not looking back to see if his partner would follow.

Sand cascaded over itself as he drew it up with each step. His hat was no longer upon his head to protect his face from strangers, however, his long, silver hair managed that easily. All that would be visible through the shadow's his hair formed as it draped his face was a smirking mouth, which oddly enough seemed as if it didn't belong to Aito.

He finally didn't have to be alone. He wasn't cast out by people, as he once had been. He may have finally found his place.

Kenshi couldn't keep from smiling. It was a great moment and what's this?! He said one whole sentence without studdering! It was amazing! A phenomenon! Brilliant! I should probably stop now. Kenshi followed him. "Alright, sounds good. We'll split the price 50/50." Kenshi said something to let Aito know he was being followed. Kenshi didn't know much about Aito. He figured it was a good time to get to know each other.

"So... Where did you come from? Why did you become a bounty hunter?" Kenshi started small but didn't expect much from the shy Aito. But he would have to crack him eventually. They were partners now and going to be hunting pirates for a while. He wondered if Aito was like Devlin who befriended some pirates or himself who hunted any kind of pirates.

When Kenshi spoke of splitting the price of the ship 50/50, Aito gave a quick nod. Though deep enough for Kenshi to see even behind Aito. His hair still covered the near-entirety of his face as he walked, still not quite into the town yet.

"Where did I...Come from?" Aito stopped at this, letting Kenshi catch up to the most-likely younger Bounty Hunter. "The...Grand Line." He left it at that, because that was really all it was. He could call no town his hometown, he could call no island his home-island. Simply, the Grand Line. It's near endless expanse of ocean. The least accommodating expanse of liquid on the planet was his home. There was a pause before he continued, "I became...a Bounty Hunter because I quit being a marine." There was no detail in his answers, no explanation. Only the simple answers the the simple questions which Kenshi asked.

Of course, Aito knew Kenshi would persist. Or...At least, he figured. So he refrained from saying anything else until Kenshi's questions were answered, and maybe he'd find the "courage" to ask about Kenshi...Or maybe Kenshi would just outright tell him, and save him the trouble.

Muffled footsteps abruptly turned into harder, more defined ones as Aito laid foot upon the bricked streets of whatever-this-town-was-called. He turned left at the first turn. Honestly, he looked a bit out of place with his near all-black clothing, and silver hair which was uncovered, where his hat usually lay. His face was too hidden for anyone to get a look at him, which seemed to give him a slight bit of confidence. At the second intersection, Aito turned right, and abruptly left once more. The shipyard was now ahead of them.

Kenshi's foot steps stayed quiet. He wore light, soleless shoes. As he and Aito walked straight ahead towards the shipyard Kenshi reflected on what had just happened. He figured Aito didn't want to share his past, something might have happened that he did not want to share. Kenshi decided to let it be.

"Okay. I won't ask any more. I'll tell you about myself. I was born right here on Ikimo Island. I became a bounty hunter because I do not like the way pirates act or treat people." Kenshi was being very simple. He didn't like things too complicated and out of control. He was enjoying himself today for some apparent reason. They were starting to come to their destination.

Aito nodded a single time as Kenshi spoke, understanding wholeheartedly, and believing the same. He remained silent however, his face, save for his mouth, still entirely covered by his long silver hair. Quite contrary to his normal self, Aito may have seemed even intimidating as it was, his face not exposed. Aito wasn't exactly going for that appearance, however, but it did work.

Light footsteps came to a halt as Aito stopped, jerking his head left and right. He wasn't quite sure where to start, and...He figured he'd let Kenshi do the talking, anyways. He seemed much better at it than Aito. Crossing his arms, he pat his jacket just below his chest on either side, assured that his pistols lay with him.

"Where...Should we go?" Aito's voice sounded almost weak, though it was him simply being quiet. He always spoke quietly while in a town or busy area, it was almost a habit. His head jerked left and right once more, an almost confused, but slightly amusing look upon what was visible of his face. His hair flew back and forth as he jerked roughly, though it was easily long enough to cover his face, "Oh and...Can you...Do the talking?" He turned, giving an almost embarrassed grin, his right hand bent and scratching the back of his head.

Kenshi walked with his eyes straight. He wasn't looking at Aito. As they halted to a stop he glanced at Aito who was nervously looking around. Kenshi didn't pay any mind and took out a leather pouch which had his money in it.

"I've got 10,000 Belli. How much do you have again? I'll need it to buy the ship." Kenshi counted his cash to make sure he had that much as he awaited for Aito to give him the money.

"Of course I'll do the talking. It's not problem. Do you want to go look around the island or something before we leave? Have you ever been here? It's really nice." Kenshi figured they could kill time and wait until the morning to set sail. They could crash at his mother's house.

"A-ah...I've got...-" He reached into his jacket, taking out a small pouch. He glanced back up at Kenshi, his hair falling over his eyes after looking into the pouch, "10,000 Belli...Is...That enough?" He outstretched the hand which held the pouch towards Kenshi, silently letting Kenshi know he could have it.

Aito let out a sigh as he turned, "I suppose I'll go look around, then...? I'll be back soon, I suppose." He took off, "Hope that's enough." He retraced his light footsteps, keeping his gaze downward, arriving back at the beach. He gave a sigh, I'm glad I don't have to be alone anymore...I only hope he's not a bad guy to...Follow. He let himself fall against the white sand, and gazed at the now baby-blue sky. Instinctively, he let his hand slide across his chest, assured that both pistols were at his side.

His right hand fell to his side, grabbing at his black, long-rimmed hat. He lifted it to his silver mop, setting it atop his head so that it covered his eyes. With that, he closed his eyes and drifted off to a sleep, with a grin on his childish features.
