We need a standardization of the cost of resources. I'll post my ideas of what i believe to be fair, leave some input to we can get prices down. sorry if this gets too complicated or disorganized. TL:DR at bottom Lets start with with mine-able bricks: 1 stack (64) of coal should be equal trade for 1 block (9) of iron - pre-smelted and crafted. so that'd work out to ~7 coal per iron ingot. following suit, one stack of iron would be equal to 1 block of diamond, but that sound too wrong now the /kit is removed, so i think 14 blocks(just under 2 stacks) iron should equal 1 block of diamond next, i think 3 stacks of cobble should be equal to 1 block of steel 4 stacks of dirt equal to 1 block of steel Now onto farm-able - or renewable- resources: 1.5 stacks of Wood(logs) should equal 1 block of steel 6 stacks of reed to 1 block of steel 3 stacks of wheat to 1 block of steel Finally our base currency: 2 ingot of Gold to a block of steel and 4 Gold ingots to a pumpkin TL:DR ratios summary Pumpkins:Gold(ingot):Diamonds(single):Iron(ingot):Coal(single):Log(single):Cobble/Wheat(single):Reed(single) 1:4:7:18:126:192:384:768 remember these are all relative to a pumpkin anything crafted/cooked eg. smoothstone, jukebox, fences etc. are 1.25x with exception of bookshelf which is 1.5x anything spawned by an admin is 2x !MUST NOT BENEFIT MOD/ADMIN! straight into bank vault. 3 gold ingots for stack glow-stone 2 fold ingots for everything else unobtainable NO TNT E:something seems wrong with the price of gold to iron, give your suggestions. Iron is crap for currency..... 4 Reasons why: #1 Waayyy to easy to get #2 Gold is better and a lot more rare #3 Gold has no uses other than watches. #4 People will treat gold as a crap currency Maybe we could use Gold and Iron together, but in my opinion we should use gold as a primary currency. |

Your missing the point, i summed it up in ratios, that means anything can be the currency. In the post i just refereed everything to the 'price' of iron but its not necessarily the currency. That's the beauty of ratios. The values used was based on both rarity and usefulness. |
