Lol two people? And who would these two people be? Also "ypu"? and "aknowledge"? A great man once said "PASS PRIMARY SCHOOL GRAMMAR BEFORE YOU TALK TO ME!" So if that's all Ben have a nice day, you're quite worthless

Okay fine Tom, you are right there. Two people is an exaggeration. Nobody likes you, respects you or acknowledges you. And I was typing that on my phone, using the keypad. Which is relatively small for my hand, so typing errors are expected. How am I worthless? I'm quite important actually. There's a book about me. It's called the Bible. |

Holy testicle kebabs. Things never change, huh? Can anyone explain to me why the hell everyone is still having this retarded power dispute? In the past, countless methods of running NRP has been tried, countless rules have been implemented in an attempt to make roleplay "better", countless people have argued and overthrown others and I can't even remember a time where naruto roleplay has been active in the past two years, where people HAVEN'T been bitching or raging at each other. Guys, take one step back and look at us as a community. We're like a bunch of emo e-kids with down syndrome trying to be better than the other and having a cry when our e-penis doesn't grow. Friendships have been ruined in this roleplay and we've had more arguments than anyone really should. It's a goddamn hobby, not life. Now I personally agree with the old way of how things were done, but that's not even relevant to this goddamn post. Why is it the moment anyone new see's someone they class as "oldgen" they assume we're power hungry retards who want to ruin your fun. Newsflash, we were once beginners in the roleplay and enjoyed it just as much as you first did - and sadly, that's probably a feeling you won't get often from here on out. So stop making it so miserable for everyone else, too. The reason NRP dies so often isn't because of how it's run (although that can be important) - it's because of the people. Look, some of you hated the so called "oldies" and sided with Satojinn. His way of RP was new to you so you enjoyed it, you used the shit out of it and once there was nothing more in it, it got boring. Then he'd remake it with new things and you'd try again. Then occasionally an "oldgen" would come back and you'd try the old ways of running it. Then someone new would make it and also fail miserably. Hell, old and newgen even tried to coincide once and it failed. 70% of the methods used to run Naruto Roleplay have the potential to be successful. It's the people who ruin it. The sad thing is, it all started at my generation. It boils down to the people who have finally got some form of power in the roleplay, but then had no clue what to do with it. I'll admit, when I first got handed Kage, I was fucking clueless. It was like someone had stuck a vagina in front of me and I was a 8 year old boy who only knew his penis could be used for urination. It blew my mind and I got fucking SMASHED by Brandon and some others. Then there were others who also got a taste of power - but this is where everyone seems to go wrong. You get a taste, you want it again, but when you have it you don't know what to do with it. Honestly, in a roleplay with a small community and limited supplies (majority of the time), what do you get out of always being the guy who gets Jounin? Or always being the guy who gets Chuunin? Or always being the badass AnBu? Or always going for the leadership role as a Kage? You get the same old shit. You're all forgetting what it's like to actually have a proper roleplay, and you can bitch all you want. I've heard it before. "But it's so boring being a genin." "I want the chuunin exams already." "I've learned everything I can as a genin." "Man, I deserve Jounin." "I want to be 7S. I'm good enough!" "Give me Kage - I can run the village well." "Man, please let me learn this jutsu. It'll be the only one." "I swear, this missing-nin organization is completely original and not overpowered." "But if we do that, there's no real storyline to our roleplay!" "No, if we do that it limits our roleplay capabilities." "Things are better when we're all powerful." It's all the same bullshit all over again. Nothing ever had to be this complicated, but everyone's desire for power brings this shit into the ground repeatedly. Here, if you want to be a Chuunin: Be prepared to constantly take classes and help maintain a constant flow of roleplay. Be prepared to maintain a positive attitude during the peak hours of roleplay. Be prepared to keep studying so if someone roleplays with you, you can teach them and improve. Be prepared to be trusted with responsibility. Here, if you want to be a Jounin: Be prepared to have two to three annoying little genin that nag you every day to train and teach them. Be prepared to remain dedicated to them no matter what, or to find them a new master if real life calls. Be prepared to hold a leadership role in the eyes of the lower ranks OOCly. Be prepared to be trusted with more responsibility than those below you. Be prepared to constantly teach, roleplay and associate yourself with things going on. Here, if you want to be a Kage: Be prepared to constantly be nagged and asked questions regarding jutsu, clans, anything in the village. Be prepared to give instructions to the chuunin, jounin and genin below you. Be prepared to routinely make your way around the village during the peak hours and involve yourself or spectate the roleplay occuring. Be ready to organise the chuunin exams when you feel people are ready. Be ready to inspire and create the constant flow of roleplay that your underlings and yourself must maintain. Be prepared to create interesting occurances/missions that keep everyone's imagination ready. Be prepared to be strict and fair to everyone, remaining unbiased. Honestly guys, I know you'll probably say "Yeah, we know that." but lots of you overlook all the little details you should take into consideration when taking ranks. I see so many people go Jounin because of some awesome character idea that popped into their head. Or go missing nin S-Rank so they can be completely badass. But what good does that do if you have no proper roleplay to go with it? I know, I know, you've all had streams of proper roleplay going in the times you've ran it before. But how long has that lasted until you got bored, until you started bitching? The position we're in now and this thread answers that for me. Despite what I've said, I know this is going to be an issue in the end - how NRP is run. Because everyone seems to have an ego now, no one's on equal ground. But honestly guys, it comes down to all of our personalities and how much we want NRP to survive. Not what we want in nrp. Sure, the idea of having some badass unique character is awesome. But guess what? In a properly set out and ran NRP, it's possible to start as an Academy Student and one day be a badass Hokage. And during that time, you develop that character, you gain funny memories from your time roleplaying, and people actually recognize your character - because when you were a genin, they roleplayed with you. Now you're above them as a kage, and during the time it took for you to advance, you've learned and gained experience in leadership but still know how to have fun. That's all that should really matter, fun. and please, no one take that statement about fun as an opening to insult anyone, saying they kill roleplay, or kill the fun. There's been little fun since it began dying repeatedly.. |
