Firstly, welcome to the forums and the wonderful world of bootlegs! =D
Secondly, ohhh I could pretty much recommend pretty much everything from Super Game with the exceptions of Pocahontas Part 2 and their version of MK3. But that's just personal opinion there. x3

For NES, some Sachen games are a good start. Some games I recommend of theirs include:
-Metal Fighter
-Q-Boy
-Jurassic Boy
-Super Pang 1&2
-Happy Pairs
-Rockball
-Street Heroes
Galactic Crusader and its adult hack Papillion Gals isn't too bad if you're into really hard vertical shooters, but I'd otherwise avoid it. And on the Mega Drive, there's Barver Battle Saga which got an English fan translation.

You should play:
NES: Lu Ye Xian Zong, The Lion King Legeng, Happy Biqi III - World Fighter, Huan Shi Lu, almost all Super Game games and Feng Shen Bang by C&E.
GBC: Final Fantasy X - Fantasy War, Soul Falchion, San Goku Zhi - Act C and Shi Kong Xing Shou (Vast Fame).

Thank you for your responses. I looked through some of your suggestions on the wiki and youtube. Squirrel King was a big surprise, Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers was one of my favorite games for the nes. Metal fighter and Fantasy War look great. So does Feng Shen Bang, is thera a translation of it?
Barver Battle Saga looks like a game releases by a big company like Square.
Are the Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter nes ports any good, considering there are basically no official fighting games for the system? The video I watched of Street Heroes had too much flickering, though, so that would prevent me from enjoying them. Do the ports have the same problem?
There seem to be a lot of good games, I`m glad I stumbled upon this forum.

Which Feng Shen Bang game are you referring to? I don't think any Feng Shen Bang title is translated, and certain games based off of the novel aren't even dumped yet. As for Street Heroes, I think the GBC port has some flicker, though there's no ROM of it yet. You can turn off the flicker in an emulator though, which you may end up having to do since both the NES and GBC games are rather hard to find.

Pochahantas 2 and MK3 (slightly re-skinned port of MK2) aren't that bad, in MY opinion. Pochahantas 2 is much better than the sluggish, confusing, and story-removed (I mean with text and cutscenes) Game Boy version. I also like Master Fighter VI, because it has all the fighters from the arcade version. And, of course, Rocman X (NES, not GB)!
I didn't know there was a GBC version of Street Heroes! Also, there ARE some fighting games for the NES that aren't pirates. For example: Urban Champion!

Those are some pretty neat games! (taizou's dumped them in the Handheld Underground thread (in the Game Boy dumps section)

Didn't you say it was an original? :P

Another one: Sheng Shou Wu Yu. I beat it and it's pretty decent.

Shin Sangokumusou 2 (GBC) is excellent IMO. Also literally anything made by Vast Fame, although you need to know Chinese to get the best out of their RPGs (aside from the few released in really really bad English)

Squirrel King is pretty fun if you ask me, even if it is a huge ripoff of Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers.

Super Robot War X by Sintax is another. Although I didn't play it through because I was lazy, it's at least better than the SKOB one.

Does Harry Potter 3 for the GBA qualify? Out of all bootleg shumps, this one is simply my favourite, despite I'm not even a huge fan of Harry Potter franchise itself.

EDIT: And West Story, its' variation.

Other games I'd like to add if you don't mind reading Chinese are the Chuanpu RPGs. I know Barver Battle Saga was already mentioned, but I've been playing a bit of Tunshi Tiandi 3 lately and it's quite good. If not, Smart Mouse and Ghost Hunter (not entirely Chuanpu but still) are good action puzzlers.

Super Fighter III and it's variants are actually fun and quite playable for NES fighters, even by the higher standards of regular licensed Japanese developers.

World Heroes (not World Heroes 2, the shitty Cony fighter with all the weird characters) is pretty good too. It's the same exact engine and setup as Super Fighter III, only with Chinese martial artists using original sprites and artwork. I picked it up thinking it was the latter, and I was pleasantly surprised.

The original ports of MK1 and MK2 aren't horribly shitty, but they aren't as good as either of the above two mentioned games. If you can pick them up at a reasonable price they're worth it just as a conversation piece.

Kart Fighter's not bad either, if you're looking for a fighting game. And try Somari if you liked Jurassic Boy.

Somari can be neat and technically impressive, but it's not that fun to play. The controls can be a tad finnicky, the buzz bombers that litter almost every level are a nightmare to deal with, and Labyrinth Zone is pure hell. Jurassic Boy, despite being more simplistic and much shorter, is probably a better bet for a NES Sonic clone.

Kart Fighter and the other Hummer fighters are pretty good though, and if you're into platformers I highly recommend Donkey Kong Country 4.

(Pfft, I'm bad with words today.)

It is a bit better technically and control-wise, but I prefer the NES version due to the better audio and larger screen size. It can be pretty annoying to play if you haven't memorized the levels.

And on the subject of Sachen stuff, their Game Boy port of Street Heroes, despite having a broken difficulty option and minimalistic audio, is actually pretty good to play.

Yup, that is the problem with so many of the "neat" games - while impressive, they just aren't fun due to broken controls. I feel the same way about Somari.

Doesn't mean we can't discuss which pirates are good. ;)

Speaking of which, Squirrel King's a good game. :)

I never liked Somari though. The challenge is mostly from awful controls and enemy placement, it's way too glitchy and the soundtrack is worse than a Skrillex album.

I had that same issue when I was playing it through - on Labyrinth Zone, I save-and-loadstated LOTS of times just to finally complete it.

I'd say that as messy as Somari is, it's definitely better than Jurassic Boy 2 in my very personal opinion.

The music in both, though, could be a lot, a whole lot better.

I strongly agree. If someone could modify the controls to be a lot better, it would be even better. Don't like the lazy Adventure Island Sonic hack, though. (of course) Why does he throw axes in the first place?

Lei Dian Huang Bi Qa Chuan Shuo (Pokemon Yellow) is a pretty decent RPG
Q-Boy and RocmanX are pretty neat too
If you want Somari however, play the alternate Sonic hack, it gives you rings at the begining of levels and the holes aren't that deep
Bonafide Bubsy!!

Why hasn't anyone mentioned anything from Shenzhen Nanjing yet? Their games are quite good even if most of them are RPGs, and have music characterised with weird high-pitched notes throughout. Also, Rockman DX4 but more so for the "fixed" version (or the original version "Zook Hero Z" that really isn't talked much here).

Woah, haven't seen this thread in a while! Surprised nobody's brought up Top Fighter or that King Of Fighters '99 Genesis bootleg, they're both pretty solid fighters. Generally speaking I think the Vii is probably one of the highest-quality plug'n'play systems out there, though a bit of fanboyism on my part may be coming through there :P

To join in the discussion:
I like quite a few Hummer Team bootlegs, from Aladdin to the seemigly endless amounts of revisional hacks of their Mortal Kombat clones. :P
I had some fun with a few Dragon Co. games (SpaceNinja88 would probably look weird at me for saying this XD ) like Tom & Jerry 3 and Wait And See.
I beated a few times The Lion King Legeng, but it is obviously nowhere near as good as the Super Game backport.
And it kinda ends with there. After those games I had mostly fun with pirates to rip their audio drivers apart, and interstingly a lot of them had decent music for the most part - a good example would be Luan Shi San Guo.
