Notice: If a race you would like to use is not in the list below, don't worry about it. But make sure that you provide a description of the race. If it is something custom, this is a necessity for those who are not familiar with the race such as yourself. If it is a race that is not on the list but has a description somewhere, feel free to link to it in your character registration topic!

Centaur
In Greek mythology, the centaurs (from Ancient Greek: Κένταυροι – Kéntauroi) are a composite race of creatures, part human and part horse. In early Attic and Boeotian vase-paintings, as on the kantharos, they are depicted with the hindquarters of a horse attached to them; in later renderings centaurs are given the torso of a human joined at the waist to the horse's withers, where the horse's neck would be.

Demon
In religion and mythology, occultism and folklore, a demon or daemon, daimon; from Greek δαίμων daimôn, is a supernatural being described as something that is not human and in ordinary usage malevolent. The original neutral Greek word "daimon" does not carry the negative connotation initially understood by implementation of the Koine (Hellenistic and New Testament Greek) δαίμονιον (daimonion), and later ascribed to any cognate words sharing the root, originally intended to denote a spirit or spiritual being.

Dhampir
A Dhampir in Balkan folklore is the child of a vampire father and a human mother. The term is sometimes spelled dhampyre, dhamphir, or dhampyr. Dhampir powers are similar to those of vampires, but without the usual weaknesses. Dhampirs are supposed to be adept at killing and detecting vampires.

Dwarf
In Germanic mythology, a dwarf (Old English dweorg, Old Norse dvergr, Old High German zwerc and gitwerc) is a being that dwells in mountains and in the earth, and is associated with wisdom, smithing, mining, and crafting. Dwarfs are also sometimes described as short and ugly, although some scholars have questioned whether this is a later development stemming from comical portrayals of the beings.

Dragon
Dragons are usually shown in modern times with a body like a huge lizard, or a snake with two pairs of lizard-type legs, and able to emit fire from their mouths. The European dragon has bat-type wings growing from its back. A dragon-like creature with no front legs is known as a wyvern. Following discovery of how pterosaurs walked on the ground, some dragons have been portrayed without front legs and using the wings as front legs pterosaur-fashion when on the ground.

Elf
An elf is a being of Germanic mythology. The elves were originally thought of as a race of divine or semi-divine beings (wights, vættir) endowed with magical powers, which they use both for the benefit and the injury of mankind. In medieval Norse mythology, they appear to have been divided into light elves and dark elves, difficult to delineate from the Æsir (gods) on one hand and the dvergar (dwarves) on the other.

Fairy
Fairies are generally described as human in appearance and having magical powers. Their origins are less clear in the folklore, being variously dead, or some form of demon, or a species completely independent of humans or angels. Folklorists have suggested that their actual origin lies in a conquered race living in hiding, or in religious beliefs that lost currency with the advent of Christianity. These explanations are not necessarily incompatible, and they may be traceable to multiple sources.

Goblin
A goblin is a legendary evil or mischievous illiterate creature, described as a grotesquely evil or evil-like phantom. They are attributed with various (sometimes conflicting) abilities, temperaments and appearances depending on the story and country of origin. In some cases, goblins have been classified as constantly annoying little creatures somewhat related to the brownie and gnome. They are usually depicted as small, sometimes only a few inches tall, sometimes the size of a dwarf. They also often are said to possess various magical abilities.

Griffin
The griffin, griffon, or gryphon (Greek: γρύφων, grýphōn, or γρύπων, grýpōn, early form γρύψ, grýps; Latin: gryphus) is a legendary creature with the body of a lion and the head and wings of an eagle. As the lion was traditionally considered the king of the beasts and the eagle was the king of the birds, the griffin was thought to be an especially powerful and majestic creature. The griffon was also thought of king of the creatures. Griffins are known for guarding treasure and priceless possessions.

Half-Elf
In J. R. R. Tolkien's fictional universe of Middle-earth, the Half-elven (Sindarin singular Peredhel, plural Peredhil, Quenya singular Perelda) are the children of the union of Elves and Men. The Half-elven are not a distinct race from Elves and Men, and must ultimately choose to which race they belong. This is significant because although Elves and Men are able to crossmate and produce fertile offspring, their final fates are separate: Elves are immortal (they do not die, or if killed are re-embodied, whilst Arda endures), whereas Men are mortal (after death their souls depart the world for an unknown place and future).

Hybrids
Humans/creatures that have the DNA of other animals and creatures.

Minotaur
In Greek mythology, the Minotaur (Greek: Μῑνώταυρος, Latin: Minotaurus, Etruscan Θevrumineś), as the Greeks imagined him, was a creature with the head of a bull on the body of a man or, as described by Ovid, "part man and part bull".

Nymph
A nymph in Greek mythology is a female minor nature deity typically associated with a particular location or landform. Different from gods, nymphs are generally regarded as divine spirits who animate nature, and are usually depicted as beautiful, young nubile maidens who love to dance and sing; their amorous freedom sets them apart from the restricted and chaste wives and daughters of the Greek polis. They dwell in mountains and groves, by springs and rivers, and also in trees and in valleys and cool grottoes. Though they would never die of old age nor illness, and could give birth to fully immortal children if mated to a god; they themselves were not necessarily immortal, and could be beholden to death in various forms.

Orcs
In Tolkien's writings, Orcs are of human shape, of varying size but always smaller than Men, ugly, filthy, with a taste for human flesh. They are fanged, bow-legged and long-armed, and some have dark skin as if burned. In a private letter, Tolkien describes them as "squat, broad, flat-nosed, sallow-skinned, with wide mouths and slant eyes ... degraded and repulsive versions of the (to Europeans) least lovely Mongol-types". They are portrayed as miserable, crafty and vicious beings.

Satyr
satyrs are most commonly described in Latin literature as having the upper half of a man and the lower half of a goat, with a goat's tail in place of the Greek tradition of horse-tailed satyrs; therefore, satyrs became nearly identical with fauns. Mature satyrs are often depicted in Roman art with goat's horns, while juveniles are often shown with bony nubs on their foreheads.

Vampire
Vampires are mythological or folkloric beings who subsist by feeding on the life essence (generally in the form of blood) of living creatures, regardless of whether they are undead or a living person.

Vampeels
A Vampeel simply put is a Half-Human Half-Vampire race. They are the products of a Vampire's desire to make a mortal his or hers without making that mortal an actual vampire. Vampeels are a rare breed. They are usually unwanted children that have been either outcast, or killed at birth. Vampeels are not immortal as vampires are. They do however, have a very long lifespan. Every ten years, a vampeel shall age but one. This is why most human mothers only get to see their children grow up to the age of 6 at the most. Since Vampeels have vampire blood running through them, they gain some of a vampire's strengths...and weaknesses. Vampeels, or "Daywalkers" as referred to by vampires, are not taken lightly by them. So in essence, should a Vampire learn of the presence of one in his "domain", he will do EVERYTHING in his power to rid himself of such disgrace. Vampeels have some of the same traits as vampires. They may pass among normal men, without drawing the attention to themselves. Even though they all have sharp and feral facial features, they do not seem inhuman. They are very hard to detect, unless the Vampeel decides to reveal his true nature. There are a few ways to identify them: A Vampeel will not cast a reflection in a glass, cast no shadow, and move in complete silence. Since these are the same as a vampire, they may be mistaken with one as well. Sunlight will not hurt a Vampeel. They may walk under sunlight, but they prefer not to because it does bother them. They will always hide their skin as much as possible during daylight, but should he be stripped from his clothes under the sun, no harm will come to him other than some discomfort.Vampeels may choose to act as a human, vampire, or combination of both. Past known Vampires have in fact turned out to be mere Vampeels. They have the ability to feed off innocent victims. Even though they prefer, above all, human blood, they will attack other races and even lesser creatures if they are hungry enough.

Werewolf
A werewolf, also known as a lycanthrope (from the Greek λυκάνθρωπος: λύκος, lukos, "wolf", and άνθρωπος, anthrōpos, man), is a mythological or folkloric human with the ability to shapeshift into a wolf or an anthropomorphic wolf-like creature, either purposely, by being bitten by another werewolf, or after being placed under a curse. This transformation is often associated with the appearance of the full moon,
