Pivot makes it easy to create stick-figure animations. You can build your own stick figures and load your own backgrounds. The animations can be saved as animated gifs to be used on web pages

Pivot 3 Beta is much like Pivot 2.5, but gives the user a choice of multiple backgrounds and using sprites in .gif .bmp form, and has an easier .gif saving format. Be warned though, it is a touch more buggy than Pivot 2.2.5.

Easytoon 1.9.9. Beta 3. EZtoon for short, the program lets you draw the animation frame by frame. You are able to get more detail much easier than pivot, but you have to re-draw every frame (though some copy options are available to make it easier) making this program a bit harder to use than Pivot

Transparent Windows is a great program to download if you make lots of stickfigures. It can help to lower the normal opacity of the window so you can compare previous sticks to the figures being made in the stickfigure editor
