to make your animations look good, try to move every joint in every frame possible but dont make it shaky

Easing is the acceleration and deceleration of all movements. Start off with a build up, then get gradually faster, then ease it off.

/-/--/---/----/-----/----/---/--/-/ (easing diagram)

/ = frame
- = movement

to make it look smooth do that

you also want to watch your foot placing so it doesnt like, go through the ground/stage
Yong's Foot Placement Tutorial will help that out greatly

take a look at some Intermediate or Pro animations and see how their movements are, easing, foot placement, joints, etc.

dont try to make anything really complex to start off with, its hard and annoying, so start off small

to upload your animations to your thread, put them in .gif format and post the url or img
you can use imageshack or pivotup as your upload provider (pivotup would probably be best)

for complete (or at least most of) bbc:

oh, it should be in your default pack. go to the top left of the pivot screen and click file, insert stick (figure type) and find the alphabet folder.
go to http://www.droidz.org/ for some sticks such as the megapack 1 and 2 here and get anything else you might need from there.

i think there is a default pack anyways...
well i know its in the megapacks

but as for the music/frame time

best thing i would do is set up your background and everything via spamming next frame. set up the stick in the first frame and last frame
time how long it takes to get from the first to last and try to have that time limit be the same amount of time used in the song

so like if it takes the animation to go to the first to last frame in like 10 seconds, that would be the first 10 seconds of the song

so that way you know how many frames you need per every 10 secs or so.

then just work it out from there

thats how i would do it at least.

uhh did you understand that btw?
