Despite how confident Alex felt that he had successfully captured his opponent, he still kept his eyes trained on the ball he'd thrown as it thrashed about among the grass. He was both surprised and not by how much the snake was fighting the device, because of how aggressive it had been during battle.Thinking about that, Alex's mind wandered a bit to the battle, a hint of a smile grazing his lips as he once again thought about how a pokemon like that would be a welcome addition to the team.

Down on the ground, the primate was watching the ball as well, stepping closer inch by inch as the ball swayed. It's progress paused when the ball came to a stop, and it looked confused, closing the distance and slightly poking at the sphere with a finger, wondering if it would suddenly start to shake again and spook it. When nothing happened, the Chimchar grabbed the ball and held it over it's head, realizing what had just happened. "Chim Char Char!" it exclaimed, tossing the ball back and forth between it's hands.

Hearig the commotion, Alex blinked himself back to reality and looked at his pokemon, or rather, his two pokemon. The smile on his face grew wider as he walked over to pokemon and pokeball, kneeling down. "What a battle," he commented, rubbing Leikki's head as he plucked the ball out of it's hands. "Great job, Leikki." "Char!" the monkey said happily, pushing it's head up against it's trainer's hand, enjoying the praise. Getting to his Feet, Alex returned the now full ball to his duffel and turned back toward town, giving a bit of a sigh. "I think we could use a bit of a break," he said. "Let's go get you two healed up." Waving the primate forward, Alex headed back toward town.
