Name: Yuri Hitoehi. Nickname: Yu. Age: 15. Height: 4'11". Weight: 100 lbs. Gender: Female. Personality: + | Hyperactive | Good-Hearted | Optimistic | Bold | Understanding | Pure | - | Overly-excitable | Chronic Hero Syndrome | Spacy | Headstrong | Short-Fused | Naive | Appearance: Wearing the uniform to Cerulean City's resident Pokemon school, Yuri puts on an appearance that would be rather deceiving to those looking to her. She does not, in fact, attend the school but wants to delude others. She wears a black long-sleeved shirt with a matching black skirt, a white long-sleeved shirt underneath the black one. Her white shirt has a collar. A red bow is tied around her neck as a part of the uniform. Her hair is reddish brown and pinned up. To the side she has hairpins in the shape of "XXII," the alternate position for The Fool in Tarot. Headphones around Yuri's neck is a common sight. History: I was born and raised in Cerulean City; it was an ordinary life, if I should say so myself. I don't recall much about my early memories but I did often go to Route 25 so that I could look around the tall grass for Pokemon. I didn't get along too well with my folks, you see, especially my father probably because the very sight of him angered me like no other. When I wasn't busy sitting around in the tall grass and waiting around to see Pokemon, I was sitting around and enjoying the smell of the sea air at the Cerulean Cape. Well, when I was 11 or so, I got a bit ambitious and decided that I was definitely going to become the greatest trainer that ever lived, starting off with whichever Pokemon I would be able to find near Route 24. So I bought myself a Poke Ball with money I earned from some simple chores I did at the house (well, I had to be at the house some time) and went out to Route 24. I searched in the tall grass for a strong, rare, or otherwise just special Pokemon. So five minutes later or so, there I was, standing face-to-face with a Bulbasaur. I chucked a Poke Ball at it and it was caught. One thing I knew, even when I was little, was that Pokemon had to be weak in order to be captured. How did that happen? I don't even know still. So here I was with a Bulbasaur, all happy and stuff because I just caught my first Pokemon. I brought that Bulbasaur everywhere I went, though mostly to the Cape and back to the Route I caught her from. She didn't look like she ever wanted to be there, that was something I noticed. After a couple days, she just darted off as soon as we reached the Cape and I had to go through some long, time-consuming chase after her. I caught her after quite a bit of running after her-- we went through the city and I had caught her with her back to a ramp at Route 4. She hadn't learned to use Vine Whip effectively yet so she wasn't able to swing herself over. I tried grabbing her but was met with a Tackle attack and she ran off. So I chased after her some more, completely missing the point of why she was trying to attack me in the first place. She ran down south of the city to Route 5 and after a couple hours of searching for her, I gave up. She was gone, and it was my fault. For four years, I gave up on Pokemon entirely. I spent time around the house, cleaning up stuff and ignoring my mother's pleas to go to a Pokemon school. May 3rd came around, I turned 15, and I ended up talking to my mother for a bit about my experience with Bulbasaur. She told me that she understood what happened and told me that I just needed to get off on the right foot, which I failed at four years ago. She went out to an auction house and bought an egg-- the contents, she didn't tell me. She gave me the egg along with a ticket to the Acteos Region's port city. I went, egg in hand, and it hatched on board the ship into a perfectly healthy Dratini. Maybe I'll be able to get off on the right foot, now? Other Info: ![]() Starter Pokemon: Dratini.
