While walking through the desert, you're attacked by a gang of outlaws on horseback. Defeat them all to complete the sidequest. There are 3 lackeys and a ringleader. The first lacky has a Vibrava, Sandslash, and Rapidash. The second has a Cacturne, Trapinch, and Nidoking. The final lackey has a Magmar, Seviper, and Hitmonlee, and the ringleader has a Camerupt, Machamp, Arbok, and Hippowdon. All levels correspond roughly to that of your own party.
