(Are you using Firefox, because I've found that sometimes Firefox does a glitch that makes it hard to update things. Otherwise try a system restore on your computer to a time when it worked better, you can find that in the start button(unless you're using a mac, then I don't know how to do it) under programs, Accesibility, System Tools.)
