Rocks that Roll Posts: 62 Group: Members Member #10 Joined: May 20, 2007	Name: Ariel White Age: 14-ish Gender: Female Sprite/Description: Ariel boasts brilliant, platinum blonde hair that's worn in the same curly style of her older sister, Brooke (see:American Idol contestant). Ariel's skin is well-tanned; for some reason the sun just doesn't seem to burn her. Anyway, she wears a pretty lemon-yellow T-shirt and faded denim jeans, sometimes adding a baseball cap worn backwards, of the same color as her T-shirt. Always on the move, Ariel also wears white jogging shoes, and she has bright turquoise eyes. Bio: Ariel's parents divorced when she was young, about 6 or so, and she stayed with her father, while her older sister Brooke went with their mother. Unfortunately, after the divorce her father became almost raucous, having an adult party at the house almost every other night, both making it very hard for Ariel to sleep and forcing her to take certain measures to avoid the many drunk partiers; measures including sleeping in the treehouse in the backyard and getting aikido lessons from a local martial arts teacher. More recently, Ariel's father had become morose and also has a very short temper. He actually had begun to beat Ariel when she finally decided to leave home and go on a journey, both to get away from her father and to get a chance to see the world, like most of the other kids her age did. She came to Professor's Maple's lab to borrow a pokeball so that she could catch a wild pokemon to accompany her. Personality: Always bright and sunny with a big white grin spread across her face, Ariel almost always finds a way to see the glass half full, even when it's practically empty. Still, she's tough mentally and is quick to throw barbed remarls at people, though the wit is more humor than actual provocation. Being trapped with her father for so long, Ariel has little to do but read the many books about Pokemon that she's checked out of the local library, and there probably isn't anybody in Mandora that rivals her knowledge on the subject, with the exception of Professor Maple himself. Still, the books are completely different from real life, and Ariel has yet to get any actual battling experience, so she's still a bit wet behind the ears in some regards. Rp Sample: It was a dark and stormy night... Just joking. Every story starts like that. THIS time, it was a bright and sunny morning, the air fresh with potential and anticipation. The 2 trainers regarded each other wordlessly, oblivious to the roars and cheers pof the fans surrounding them in the collosseum they now stood facing each other. But this was not a true collosseum, like the ones in ancient Rome where gladiators fought. Rather, this was in a completely different world, where strange Pokémon of all shapes and sizes with extraordinary powers roamed the earth. These were Pokémon, and this was a colloseum for battling. These were 2 rather well-known trainers, quite the celebreties in the Pokémon world. One was Matt, who had been known to be rather insane in his personality and his battling, but he was actually quite the crafty battler.The other was Shawn, a fire Pokémon trainer who had grown up at the foot of Mt. Chimney, whose physical strength had improved greatly from the experience, but left him prone to coughing fits. Shawn tended toward a more direct approach to battling; brutalize the opponent until he faints. And now the champions were to clash. Two hands immediately went to their respective belts, and the choices were made. Matt's pokeball flew into the air, and a large, quadripedal figure could be made out. The glow faded, leaving Matt's Metagross in its place. Some might consider this an odd choice against a fire trainer, but Matt and Metagross had been together all their lives, and possessed a bond that allowed them to come out victorious in some of the worst disadvantages. Shawn's pokeball emptied to reveal a large fearsome-looking Pokémon - Shawn's Typhlosion. With deafening roars, the Pokémon closed in on each other. Shawn was quicker to the punch, and so was was Typhlosion, who unleashed a furious Focus Punch on the dinosaur. Metagross hauled itself upright, and barelled into Typhlosion with a ferocious Body Slam. The porcupine was a bit stiff, but still probably not the worse for wear. Shawn decided to try and stop Metagross's movement, and had Typhlosion surround it with twirling rings of fire. Realizing this, Matt had Metagross stay put and fire Sludge Bombs at it from afar. The sludge hit its mark, and both Pokémon were crippled. As the match was coming to a close, the 2 Pokémon unleashed their ultimate attacks. Metagross let loose a charged-up fist glowing with the nergy of the heavens, while Typhlosion burst out with a cacophany of photo-negative flames. There was a giant explosion, and the stadium lights went out leaving fans and competitors figuratively and literally in the dark... Also known as SoA Posts: 1,058 Group: Owner Member #1 Joined: May 4, 2007	Sorry, I totally missed this one Cyndaquil(mentioned evolved form in rp sample) Beldum(same as above) Eevee(random) Mudkip(Ariel to me is a water based name, granted little mermaid was originally released when I was 4)
